The Giant Stairway is a hiking trail Katoomba located in Australia.
Federal Pass Katoomba NSW 2780 Australia
A lot of steps but awesome views all the way down. Take the walk at the bottom to Scenic World so you can take the Railway back up the mountain .
Definitely a to do in a bucket list. Experience 1800 steps up & down. Such a fulfilling experience!
Going down is much easier than going up. We started at the other side and went down Furber and then up the Giant. Much more challenging for all 900 plus stairs .
95% of people will walk down the stairs , be hardcore and climb UP them!
Very steep: come prepared with water and no fear of heights.
The engineering behind this thing is great.
Walk down and get a scenic railway back up!
It helps if you're a bit fit. :)
It has 843 steps
Heaps to see along this walk. Katoomba Falls, Scenic World, Three Sisters and Leura Cascades are just a few. - Rob Nicholson
Excellent views on 3 different rides, plus a network of walking paths deep in the valley below! - Albert Alcoceba
Nice story, but the real star is the overall view, not the 3 rocks. - James Ferguson
Beautiful scenery but very windy and cold! Make sure you are well wrapped up! - Pheobe Tan
