Feels like time travel when you get here. Also: one of the most beautiful beer gardens in the Bay Area.
Favorite outdoor dining spot around here. The food is decent but the combo of location and being outdoors is hard to beat. Dog friendly , and people also arrive on horseback!
A small slice of Americana. Be warned - this is a “Bring Your Own Trumpet (Confederate Flag optional)” kind of place. And the onion rings are amazing.
Watermelon Margarita is amazing 🍉 Basil bruschetta with Burrata cheese and heirloom tomatoes and Reuben sandwich is pretty good
Just renovated. Still has the dive bar look in the front room, but it’s now clean , expensive , and full of wealthy tech people. Fries are still good.
Pink lady, hunter pizza and strawberry ginger cooler all delicious. Avoid on Mother’s Day bc parking is out of control.
Not into the fancy Palo Alto scene? Head up alpine to the Alpine Inn. Not so great food, a huge back yard , patio , and lots of cyclists. OH. AND A TRON MACHINE.
LA hot is good. Get it with grilled onions .
New management. Great food and beer , sweet beer garden and great for kids!
Kick back and relax in the sun here with friends over some beers
Great remodeling while staying true to The 'Zotts of the past!
Brussels Sprouts , James and the Giant Peach , Red Hot Tenders and Fries
Great beer garden and dog friendly at the oldest bar in the bay !
Omg amazing place. Best service even when it is packed
The food tasted rather cheap to me while the price tag is high. $24 for a pitcher is just outrageous! And they serve it in plastic cups!I'll stick to the Goose, $18 a pitcher and ice cold glasses!
the beginning of the internet age, nbd.
The food sucks, but the beer garden in the back is awesome on a sunny summer day.
Truly transcendent hamburgers ! Amazing!
Good bar food after a hike or bike ride
Cheap and easy. Huge back yard .
Very nice place to sit outside
The least douchey spot in Portola Valley
Watermelon salad and burger
Food is ok but the atmosphere is great
Still BEST BURGERS, after 34 years, it took Me to come back!
Come for the beer garden , lookout for the Skypers! :)
Great burgers , and beautiful surroundings
Beer garden
Fries are excellent and are bigger than they appear.
That's one good ass burger !!! Yummm :)
must have burgers

Great food and atmosphere, love the baked goat cheese appetizer! - Stephen Gillett
Good single track mountain biking trails. Well marked. Not too crowded. Has hikers and cyclists. - daniel chen
Not sure there is a better grocery store anywhere. Great prepared foods and fresh breads. Worlds best spicy chicken tenders. Also take advantage of free pastry samples at coffee bar - Darren Lachtman
