Great service, fabulous bar , a comfortable inviting restaurant reminiscent of neighborhood trattorias found in Rome. The menu is steeped in the Roman roots of simplicity, custom and comfort.
The boar gnocchi are amazing! The panna cotta with salted caramel might have been the best desert I've ever had. Excellent wine selection and friendly and attentive staff .
Mussles, carapaccio, tripe all v. good. Skip burrata bruschetta , warm ricotta & prosciutto and melon . For entrees, sea bass v. strong (skin cooked perf) try fennel sausage , rabbit gnocchi & bolognese
Best bolognese I've had since I was actually in Italy. Everyone in our party was happy with their meal but the bolognese was the real winner.
The pasta is fresh and amazing. I happened to be in the area for art and have eaten here twice in the past four weeks.
Love the outdoor patio and the music . Feels very European. And the design of the bar is amazing too!
Ok, so Phil behind the bar is the kind of bartender we like, attentive, knowledgable and happy to converse or give you space. Try an Aperol Spritz .
Solo: get the mussels , ricotta fresca with grilled bread , side of Brussels. For pasta skip the Bolognese and get the Rigatoni alla Norcia!!!
The lobster arrabiata was spectacular last night. Wonderful young latin bartender . Best meal so far at Cinquecento.
The Polenta with poached eggs were amazing! I highly recommend it if you are cool with fontina cheese mixed with it.
Amazing breakfast . Polenta + eggs was delicious and great outdoor ambience a close walk to sowa market .
Everything is great! Blueberry French toast is the way French toast should be.
Try the bolognese ! It's fresh and to die for! The pasta is homemade just like your grandma would make.
Phenom service & the Mediterranean Sea Bass was amazing! Loved the ambience too!
Halibut special Saturday night atop asparagus puree and sunchokes was killer.
Branzino tasted like it was caught this morning. The octopus app was equally as tasty! You can never go wrong with a bowl of ricotta .
The carbonara is amazing! Order the Minuetto cocktail , a twist on a French 75.
The octopus and fried baby artichokes were phenomenal!
Great wine selection to pair with perfectly cooked food!
Grilled octopus (appetizer ) is a must.
Fantastic Tuscan kale salad ! Best sea bass I've ever had.
Great cocktails . Love the negroni .
Great dinner . The place was packed on a Saturday night. Great ambiance.
Sit outside and order the artichoke appetizer .
Get the Rigatoni with Sausage !!! Delish! Also the ricotta appetizer ! Yum
The bolognese was incredible.
Food was absolutely exquisite and service was phenomenal for our group of 10.
Try the artichokes as an app!
Great!! You should taste cocktail !
the atmosphere its quite nice. the food its ok and the prices too.
There are WAY better Italian restaurants out there at a much more reasonable price point. Definitely nothing to write home about.
Good drinks and bolognese
Dickel Manhattan . Exquisite.
Gnocchi !!!
Great staff , great food
The Bolognese is amazing.
Incredibly happy to find a restaurant focused on roman cuisine in Boston. The decor of the restaurant Is beautiful and rustic . Service was great. Try the Cacio e pepe and tiramisu !
Skip the saltimbocca when they push it, go with pasta instead. Definitely eat outside.
true good pasta here

Get the bartender's choice with gin
Get the salmone !

Smoked salmon & eggs is pretty boring.
It's pronounced chin-qweh-CHEN-toh
