Take the signature laksa soup . No need to add anything, it has it all. Not too spicy , not too thick, not too big portion . Just perfect!
Perhaps soul food in Singapore can be a bowl of nutritive soup of laksa!Smoky and savory,Sungai Road Laksa contains clam and surimi in a spicy soup for only 3SG$!
Best. Laksa . EVER. Seriously, forget all that Katong laksa baloney. The only laksa I would eat, and get seconds of, whenever I'm back in Singapore - with extra cockles , of course.
(2.5/5) Hawker stall serving up reasonably tasty laksa made over a charcoal fire, albeit not nearly as delicious as The Original Katong Laksa in Roxy Square, which has a much bolder flavor profile.
So cheap and delicious ! Great size too so that you can try other dishes. No need for chopsticks .The Noodles are cut into mouthful sizes so you can eat with just the spoon.
I still have dreams of the laksa I once had here. I think it's the best I've tasted yet in SG.
Laksa with fresh clams for $3. Great taste and not super spicy .
Long but fast moving queue. Definitely worth the wait for their laksa . Lots of hum too. Only original stall, no other outlets.
The laksa cauldron here is charcoal-fired. In today's day and age, this is old school. I don't know about you but I'd bet that the extra yumminess in their laksa traces its way back here ...
This is the place if you want to have the true taste of a good laksa . Who says laksa have to be spicy then nice?
No chopsticks required. You will not need them. All you need is the spoon. Although what you really want to do is pick up the bowl and slurp direct.
This is my favorite laksa place. Cheap & delicious laksa prepared in the old school way using charcoal fire. One bowl is never enough.
Always love Laksa and this one is delicious. Only SGD 3 per bowl and I added $1- for extra Cockles . Yummy!
Queued 20mins for this, I feel soup is a little diluted. Overall laksa is good! Will come again.
Even at 1600ish there is a short queue ???? do come at times of doom, wakakaka~ 1400 hrs - 1700 hours
Great portion, small but perfectly sized for lunch . You can choose with or without those small mussels .
Nice and round taste. Love the clam . Love it all
Laksa is tasty but not too rich. just nice. the otar next door is also good.
Best laksa ! Better than Katong laksa . Glad that the younger generation is helping out so it will be passed on.
I simply loved that laksa ! Delicious n not too much spicy !
Still have the authentic taste. Good...yummy! But now is $3.
Definitely the best I have tried, a long queue excepted, even not laska connaiseur will like it!
Best traditional laksa . Been eating it since I was 5
The popiah and kueh pai tee at this kopitiam is awesome too! Great addition if the Laksa serving is not filling.
Buyer beware if you don’t love the briny flavor of clams
you have to queue for the laksa , but be patient as the laksa is worth it. (SD3.00!)
queue is fast moving. worth the trip here. yummy laksa . would be nice if there is a choice of noodles .
Best laksa place I've tried. Worth a visit when in town .
Best Laksa in Singapore !! I come here every time I'm in Singapore.
The laksa is very delicious here
Another good laksa in Singapore
Old fashioned, charcoal-heated laksa . Not too lemak, and you can't stop at just one bowl. Read more
Awesome! Buy the large bowl instead of the small one, you'll not regret it.
This is probably the original store at Sungei Road 30 to 40 years ago by the road side. Now his daughters take over.
It's always better to order 2 small bowls instead of 1 large because 1 large is ALWAYS NEVER ENOUGH!!!
Ask for Extra Cockles (a.k.a 'harm') cos they got the BEST laksa cockles in Singapore.
I still like the one at Balestier traditional Laksa . But that coffee shop building embloc already. The stall didn't continue else where.
Laksa here is really tasty.
It closes every Wednesday! (2015.03.27)
Small portion. Order 2 bowls if you like.
I have been take this Laksa seen 40 years ago until now
the best of the best. only $3 a bowl...
The laksa (obviously), but the wait is about 20-30seconds per bowl, averaging at least 30 minutes wait.

Good laksa , but it has seen better days. The broth isn’t as thick as before.
See the Q, u know it... Long Q equal food for Singaporean.
Best laksa in town
Real Good!!
This is the original deal Sungei Road Laksa. Look for a old uncle in white singlet. Not the one at Kelantan lane.
Laksa is why you come here for. But Chicken Rice n Poh Piah surprisingly good... dun miss...
