Lovely, traditional 16th century pub . Excellent beer festivals held twice a year. Great real ales .
Great on a summer's day to eat seafood outside with a nice pint, if you are not into seafood the pub has a great chicken club sandwich
Beers are good - Service is abysmal. Don't stand just inside the door when waiting at the bar , you'll be ignored. Bar staff will always serve regulars before you even if you're obviously there first.
Great pub for real ale . Food can be a bit hit and miss
A nice glass of chilled white wine , a view to die for and some seafood ! Yes bring it on!
Gotta have a plate of cockles with your wine
Great pint of Adnams
Guinness and cockles . You cant beat it.
Need the seafood platter
Traditional easy going pub, family friendly and even let dogs in. Usually a good atmosphere despite a real mix of people. Seem to have live music regularly. Food can take a while or run out when busy. - R S
Wonderful garden in a small lovely village. Among the best -maybe the best- pubs in the southend area - Bilge U
Traditional style Wetherspoons. Great value food, especially English breakfasts and Thursday night curry club. Great real ales. - Carl Griffin
Cold cockles and warm beer (from the Crooked Billet) - a winning combination! - James
Great location when the tide's in, and one of the biggest selection of real ales in Leigh-Southend. Staff are always friendly, and the fish and chips is highly rated (I just come here for the beers). - James
