Le Panier, created by Hubert Loevenbruck, opened its doors in 1983. Pike Place Market was the perfect location to share the authentic style of classic boulangerie and patisserie with Seattle. The aroma of fresh-baked bread has delighted our neighborhood for over 25 years.

Traditional french recipes in the heart of Downtown Seattle. The Macarons are a staple, but it’s best to explore the extensive menu! Try the Jambon Mornay for a light, flaky, and savory flavor burst.
Get a taste of France here as you're exploring the Pike Place Market . I always get a variety of Macarons and a cup of London Fog . Perfect spot for a pit stop and a bit of people watching !
The Campagne bread tastes very good and is healthier than the baguette . I also tried theraspberry and apricot croissants -- very good, and the mushroom tarte (will take more of those to-go next time).
Pastries and lots of them. Most look too good to choose among, and the ones I tried tasted as good as they looked. Those really made a breakfast here a good idea.
If you are anywhere near this place, wait in line for the Friand and the Chocolate Macaroons . I can't stop thinking about the Friand.
Their croissants are heavenly. In fact don't only get one item, get two. Who knows when a pocket pastry stashed in your purse or jacket will come in handy. The almond chocolate was excellent!
Macarons are always on point, change daily/seasonally. Their broccoli and cheddar & ham and potato pastries are so delicious. Great coffee but always takes awhile & there's always a line but worth it
Amazing french bakery in the middle of Pike Place Market . Macaroons are to die for, bread scrumptious, everything divine. Highly recommend stopping by this place while in the market
All of their croissants are amazing! I always stop by at La Panier for to go before heading back to Bay Area!
Excellent French bakery , get any croissant and you'll be happy. Pair with coffee and get a great start to the day - it gets busy though, so be prepared to wait a bit and fight for a table!
Didn't have hope for this since it was located in a touristy area, but as a baker and a person who went to Paris: their almond croissant surpasses the ones in Paris. Amazing.
Have been here twice and don’t understand the hype. Tried the macarons , jambon mornay, epinard, palmier, pain au chocolat , brioche , provencale, meringue , sable, and coffee
My go-to spot @ Pike Place. Stop here for an amazing baguette sandwich (+baked treat , +coffee ), but come early- they sell out!
Only ever had macaroons here & never been disappointed. Try-almond, pistachio , caramel , citron, hazelnut . All Excellent. Don't wait in the queue if you only want macaroons . Walk upto the glass case!
The Crudités sandwich is delicious, the macaroons are perfect and the croissant are nice and flaky. Sit in the window seat for prime people watching . And expect a touch of attitude when ordering.
Great place for pastries and sandwiches ! Flaky crusts and light, fluffy croissants ! What else can you ask for?
All breads (except "grains) are excellent. Their little pastries are nice as well . Desserts are on point.
Tried the vanilla macaroon . That takes my total to 3 flavors. All were fab.
The best eclair au chocolate with actual chocolate mousse filling. No custard here, that’s blaspheme.
Excellent place for Pike Place Market atmosphere and people watching without the chaos! Everything is delicious and authentic . Try the macaroons !!

The best croissants in Seattle! I like the plain, Pain au chocolat , & the A la Framboise . The Josephine is yummy too.
Mushroom tart was unbelievable, marion berry tart was friggin' delicious, but when I ate the passion fruit macaron I just had to exclaim FU€K!!!
Delicious french pastries , sandwiches made with fresh bread , and great coffee . Located near Pike Place Market , just a few blocks from the Monorail's Westlake Center platform .
The best Almandine I’ve ever had! It melts in mouth with just the perfect amount of sweetness.
Great little cafe in the market area. Amazing, fresh baked pastries . Smells so delicious inside!
Perfect coffee and divine pastries . Excellent customer service.
Good coffee , delectable pastries (chocolate or almond croissants , palmiers, macarons !). Hello, addiction. Goodbye moderation.
The only thing I didnt like: they put my eclair and crosissants inlittle paper bags, and as a result they got damaged on the way home. I know, I should drive more carefully :)
Crowded but delicious pastries . The Ham and cheese croissant is the most popular savory.
The Dauphinoise is amazing! Also the chocolate almond croissant (I can't remember the name) is to die for!
Pumpkin friand is really good, and the coffee wonderful. No tourists taking photos until you get up the street to Starbucks. :-)
Had the raspberry chocolate croissant , the chocolate bread , and the amandine - they were all incredible! Haven't had French food this good in a long time!
Love this bakery for great croissant in Seattle. Can be a little pricey .
Love! love! love! the amandine (almond croissant that has almond paste)
Tom Douglas choice for Best Bread Bakery : For the perfect French baguette , Le Panier in the Pike Place Market .
Great coffee and amazing pastries get a croissant ; classic and yet yummy
I come here for their meringues (pre-bagged and gorgeous) and their macarons . Of course I wish parking was easier, but this is the market we're talking about!
Get the amandine croissant , it's fresh, nutty, fluffy and lightly sweet
Absolutely delectable expresso and French Patisserie
The Crudités Sandwich is my go-to quick lunch when in the Market . It never disappoints!
Almond croissant , macaroons and an americano . Lovely.
Excellent laminated pastries for about 40 years so far.
Pain au chocolat , peach tart , and the best macaroons on planet earth!
I love the macaroons and the meringues !!! So delicious!!!????????????????
Delicious fresh baked French treats ????
Palmiers. Macaroons . Croissants . Rhubarb tarts . Coffee . Don't miss out on a taste (and smell) of Paris.
Bakeries aren't my thing but they have outstanding savory pastries .
All is amazing , from croissant to the macaroons . But The coffee is not good
