First time visiting, and the bartender was a sweetheart! She's old school - there since '89. Dark, moody, underground dive. Dudes at the bar talking in hushed tones about Masons. Cool & weird .

A dark little hidey hole next to the Texas state capital. Inexpensive no fuss cocktails or beer . Great juke box . Atmospheric.

I mean...you will be judged when you walk in but put a dollar in the jukebox and you'll be fine. Also, don't ask about anything ginger (beer or ale ). They don't have it.

Steps away from the Capitol , Politicos are often seen here discussing "Cloak Room" Talk. You never know who you may bump into.

If you're offended by the bartender you probably prefer places like Chilis or Applebee's.

Did you come here on a date? You're weird , but good luck. The jukebox might have something to set the mood. If not, talk about politics. You're safe in the Cloak Room.

Great underground bar . The lady bartender is very rude.

Underground bar where something weird is bound to happen. Be careful, the bartender may lock you inside while avoiding a TABC raid.

Bartender was incredibly rude to us. Everything we said to the bartender resulted in rolling eyes, slamming our drinks/IDs down on the bar , and finally "finish your drinks and get the fuck out"

Don't bother. The lady that tends bar closed my tab that didn't exist and then told me well I couldnt get a drink because she closed my non existent tab. Very rude individual
