Everything was amazing. Danville Rattlesnake cocktail was perfectly Smokey. Tuna crudo with passion fruit was heavenly. Catfish with grits was delicious. Can't wait to go back to try more.
Great food! Had the fried chicken ( aTuesday special) with the potato salad and a southern gin fizz . Very good chicken , excellent potato salad , and that may be my new favorite cocktail !
The gnocchi was better than most Italian restaurants and the Proton Pack knocked me on my ass (and I LIKED IT). Portions and prices both quite reasonable for EXCELLENT FOOD.
Pork loin and the rockfish were great. Lamb burnt ends were okay. The fried cheese for desert was a amazing! Zach, Jackie and Troy were great company. Sit at the bar if you can.
1. Make a reservation or settle in at the bar with snacks and a drink for a long wait . (PS worth it!). 2. Order an old fashioned or a clawhammer 3. Trout , scallops , rutabaga, greens.....all Delish!
Lovely! Wish I’d bought the hot sauce when I was there. One snooty bartender , 2 lovely, over the course of my two visits to eat and drink at the bar .
Cozy , great cocktails . The fried green tomatoes are delish and have a lil kick to them. And the halibut w/sweet potatoes is perfect!
Mr T. Leggett and his crew behind the bar are true craftsman in their trade. They take the time to craft creative and nuanced cocktails that are worth the wait!
What's good? Everything! If I have to be specific, though, I'd say get anything with cheese grits , and order a Claw Hammer from the bar .
Tuesdays are fried chicken night From spending lots of my life in the great state of South Carolina where fried chicken is king. This here rates with any I have ever had! Just saying.

How do you like your bacon ? I like mine infused into vodka and mixed into a Bloody Mary . That's why I brunch at The Roosevelt.
Slightly upscale with some of the best new southern food the city has.
These mussels are on the appetizer list , but the addition of spicy Sausage Craft chorizo and grilled bread means you could almost make a meal of it.
Brussel sprouts were out of this world, steak was amazing, bacon and cheddar gratin was delicious- wonderful meal!
The cheeseburger and the coconut cake were both delicious! Portion sizes are appropriate. The cornbread was so unfortunately dry it should be a crime.
Hands down best food I hade in the U.S. And the cocktails rock. Try the Danville rattlesnake ;) !
Blue crap & ham omelette was very good. Personal choice, I prefer my eggs more done, but they serve slow cook: no demerit. 1 demerit, entrance next to trash, which was in my nose going in restaurant .
"T", the bartender , slings some awesome drinks and loves to chat when it's slow. The food is great, too. A hidden gem in Church Hill that is not to be missed!
Chef Lee Gregory has it going on. Try his unique take on southern cooking once and you'll be a fan for life. The sugar toads are especially tasty.
Be sure to try some of the bourbon cocktails . Can't go wrong with the dinner specials .
The Smith Cross Road cocktail is a coupe full of Virginia warmth to complement a crisp fall evening.
Soft shell crab was definitely worth the try.
Food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. Love this place!
The Roosevelt is a locals' favorite for Sunday brunch , but the 14 tables fill up quickly so arrive early.
Most of the menu is gluten free and delicious, except for the coconut cake , which is just wonderful!
Very good cocktails .
perfect twist on southern food , comforting but not too heavy with a divine bar selection.
Great meal! Doubt you will go wrong with any of the choices.
Fabulous food and staff . Interesting history of building.
The chocolate pudding is devine and I'm not really a pudding person!
I'm in love with the hush puppies and bourbon butter!
Fried chicken , collard greens and Virginia Fizz. Tuesdays are good!
Food was really good love the atmosphere and the drinks! !
Amazing mixed drinks - try the seersucker with the Charred lemon cube
Order the pork rinds . You'll want to order another set to-go.
One of the best bartenders in richmond.
Yum in the Tim with the johnny cake , pimento cheese and chips and the gnocchi !

Try the seersucker . It is fantastic.
Biscuits and cornbread are super dry; a true crime in the south
Favorite place in Richmond. Try everything!
Eat the brunch menu . All of it.
Try the pig head turrine. Delicious!
You MUST try this place - it's amazing!
Food was ok but adequately priced, staff was ok, hostess was a bit rude and pushed us out the door. Location and interior decor was awesome.
Smoked chicken wings for sure.
Don't waste your time or $. Ok service. All the food was cold. Soup was not good. Too much hype and no delivery . Was looking forward to it, but was a total fail:(
Awesome brunch ... Awesome!
