I love all of the fresh produce , flowers and baked goods that grace this market every Saturday morning. What a neighborhood gem !

Every Saturday on the Upper East Side! Really fresh produce , baked goods , fish and more. Also a great place to get flower arrangements.

In spring/summer it's cheaper to buy potted herbs than fresh cut ones as needed. They have a nice selection here - cilantro , parsley , chives , oregano and basil , all at $3/pot.

It's a BG New York City Secret! Designer Lela Rose says she can't live without fresh fruits and vegetables . "I'm always inspired by food. It brings so much pleasure to my day."

Excellent market . Best during apple season, there are tons of different types.

Correction: they DO take credit cards . Great produce, great prices. Open on chilliest winter days!

Get here on Fridays, upstate and nj veggies . I bought plums , apples , tomatoes , after they let me taste them. pricy !

They do compost collection on Saturdays from 9am-1pm. Excellent way to put coffee grounds to better use!

You can now bring stuff to compost ! Place your organic waste in a bag in your freezer and bring to the market .
