Loved my walk today to the market . A feast for my senses after yesterday. Picked up maple syrup spread and syrup , mackerel to grill tonight, a sack of apples , yogurts , cider donuts , lavender sachets.

Love doing my shopping at this market . So many wonderful stalls to chose from for all my fruits and vegetables , as well as honey , maple syrup and other goodies.

Make sure you walk around the market and explore before pulling the purchase trigger - there are some great finds at the end (and I'm not just talking about the compost station!)

The city 's biggest and best farmers market , open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., year-round.

A great variety of stands selling mostly raw ingredients from the local area but some delicious baked good . Plus there are often wine and hard cider tastings from upstate.

Nothing like waking up to a farmers and flowers market across the street from your hotel . Even tourists can find goodies to take home. My cats will love their wheatgrass catnip.

Open Mon Wed Fri Sat 8-6. follow them on twitter for updates of vendors! Become a LOCAVORE - buy local eat local, the only way to do it! the atmosphere rocks, a great people watching spot.

It is well worth a visit in the AM. All the vendors are fully stocked, and the selections are the best. You can find lots later in the day, but many of the vendors are either gone, or have sold out.

Don't miss the Ruiz Finnish Rye Bread (free samples served with cheese and cucumber ). It will replace your usual bread . Stand is usually on corner of 17th and Park Ave S.

The place to get healthy food . It's also a good opportunity to take some nice photos of the flowers and colorful vegetables . Don't leave without drinking a nice organic apple cider !

Our favorite place to shop for locally grown foods – just be warned, you have to be tolerant of crowds. You must go to the Red Jacked Orchards and Rick’s Picks stands!

Excellent market with a wide variety of products to pick from. It was a wonderful experience. The sellers are incredibly polite and they have instilled in me a sense of freshness and high quality!

The biggest greenmarket in the city as far as I know. You can sometimes find unique fruits or certain plants just a little bit ahead of when everyone else starts selling it.

Make sure to get the rewards card - you don't have to use EBT to get it. I'm not on EBT but I still get the rewards card - managers center. Also wear comfortable shoes

This lively outdoor market is the place to buy homemade treats, local produce , organic meats and dairy from vendors selling direct from the farm . Visit during the week to avoid the crowds.

Body and Soul vegan bakers are amazinggg!!! They have a Sweet Potato Muffin (or butternut squash depending on the season) with no added oil and its on a level of its own. They do half off after 5!

I buy for Babu Ji here all the time, but even on the days I don’t need to, I still find myself here. All the gorgeous microgreens and edible flowers I use come from the Two Guys From Woodbridge.

Stone Arch Farm stand has a huge range of baked goods including great sugar-free, vegan and gluten free items like pumpkin bread , zucchini bread and others for only $1.50!

Prices are somewhat high, but it's veggies galore! Fruit is also very good too (blueberries , strawberries ), and don't forget to try the honey .

Body & Soul Bakery : the MUSTARD TOFU TURNOVER was delicious and original. Several other veggie turnovers I'd like to try too. They're at Union Square on Mondays and I forget the other days.

Always fun to wander. In the summer the fresh fruits and vegetables are outstanding. I always buy pretzels from Martin's here.
