Simply the best grocery store in manhattan! Fresh fruits , vegetables , cheese , bakery and bufet with take away cooked dishes and always very kind and helpfull staff ! Thumbs up and keep going! ;)
Their hot food stations are AWESOME! You just try their Mac and Cheese ! Great selection of beers too and baked goods ! Their espresso coffee is good as well .
Get the cheese grits at the breakfast buffet , super cheap , $1.29 for a small, $2.79 for a large. They are so tasty (and I'm from New England-- I'm not even supposed to like grits !!)
True, everything in here is ridiculously overpriced ... except for most of the offerings in the bakery ! Stellar desserts for pretty amazing prices, considering it's Whole Foods.
The 1st floor has baked goods , hot/prepared food, beer , tea . The basement has most of the groceries (dairy, meats, veggies , etc). The top floor has the seating/eating area. Also, Amazon Prime deals!
We tried a lot of food: pizza , mac and cheese , buffalo wings , pizza , mashed potatoes , some pulled pork and steaks , nugets, mozzarella sticks and more. food was good 6/10 (mac and cheese is the best! )
Their vegan treats taste better than you'd think.Order an old-fashioned birthday cake with flowers on the top for a special occasion or try their amazing vegan brownies any day of the week.
Pick up our Pepper Sauce , carrot juice , orange juice , ginger , lemon juice , parsley . Use those to make the March Hare, our fresh take on the classic Bloody Mary (vodka sold separately) Read more
Love Whole Foods. This location is very convenient as it's close to my office . it's not the biggest location, but it's great.
This is one of the older Whole Foods in NYC and the age shows. It's not dirty or dated per se, but it shows its age. This location is great because of its proximity to the Union Square Park
Their groceries are healthy and delicious, plus their ready-made food court has loads of fresh and flavorful options. The salad bar is one of the largest near campus.
I really love this supermarket . After your shopping there is buffet for lunch what you want. Enjoy ????
Great sandwiches . The lines look crazy long, but they move fast thanks to magic (and science)!
Best muffins that I ever ate. This is, by far, the best grocery shop I have been. Love the freshly squeezed orange or apple bottled juice , they're 100% fruit .
"Assemble your picnic fixings at the extensive and delicious take-out bar . Head down to Washington Square Park , pick a spot and enjoy the counter-culture mis-en-scene." - Simon Doonan, author Read more
Refilling your growler can be a bit of an adventure. You'll have to ask the cheese guys to find the right person.
Great place, everything at One place; organic food , takeaway , fresh food and great beer assortment????
For the best shopping experience, stage a small peaceful protest over the express lane's grammatical incorrectness.
Freelancers/mobile workers: get a seat up in the cafe next to the microwave to get an outlet. You might get cancer, but your devices will be charged!
Try dark chocolate-cacao covered almonds - they taste like chocolate truffles with almond heart! Simply divine ❤️
Went there w/ a relative for 1st time. Been to other Whole Foods Market several times, but it's not listed. Located on Columbus Ave bet. 96th and 99th St (strip of stores and residential building )
The Union Square Whole Foods has it everything from organic produce to gluten-free beer . Get some of the best local ingredients here.
Long lines but they move so fast! And one of the best salad bars in the city is in this Union Sqr location
Probably the worst whole foods in the city . always crowded , like touching elbows with a stranger crowded . I still go tho, the worst whole foods is still better than most grocery stores in this town
Check out their candles and soaps section - pretty interesting for someone from Asia. Their organic produce is pretty mind boggling too.
A huge amount of foods to choose from. Delicious warm foods and a good cafe upstairs.
1. Grab some food 2. Head upstairs to the seating area 3. Enjoy awesome views of the park and the Empire State Bldg with your meal :)
If you're a Postmate with a big list go to customer service, ask for help, and see if Jay can guide you. He's dope.
If you have the option go to whole foods in TriBeCa. Much less people. If you don't, be realistic about the amount of time you have to maneuver around people, displays, and wait in line .

The Union Square Whole Foods has a fantastic selection of natural and organic foods and produce. You can find Hot Bread Kitchen products sold here.
Always crowded , but there is a huge selection of gluten-free food. Tip: Whole Foods accepts manufacturers coupons and also has their own coupons on their website. Clip, print , and save!
Pay a little more money, but be guaranteed the freshest organic produce , no funny biz. Great for snacks on the way to Highline, Mercury Lounge or the UCB theater nearby!
A smaller WholeFoods but good for top ups - we like the vegetarian burger patties which I haven't found at others.
Certainly the coolest Whole Foods. Grab something to eat, stand in the automated line , and head upstairs. But before you leave, take a cart up the cart escalator (basement to ground floor)!
If you were a happy person before you went in, you'll come out loathing the human race. We truly are a terrible bunch. The only catharsis is the smile you get when checking out.
Love the spice offerings at WF. Pick up some black cardamom , cinnamon and star anise for this Smoked Chocolate & Tequila Ice Cream . So, so tasty. Get the recipe on kitchenkonfidence.com.
If you don't have an obnoxious amount of groceries and are trying to avoid the crazy checkout lines , bring your stuff upstairs and the barista will ring you up!
If you have less than 11 items get in the express line section. The line may be longer but it's much faster. If you get in the 11 items and over line ... You are only hurting yourself.
Arctic Zero is an awesome froyo option; get cookies and cream. 150 calories a pint and you won't believe it.
I mean, what is there to say. Great selection, awesome food bar , but high prices. Still - I keep coming back.
Great selection of absolutely everything. If you don't enjoy walking around 6M people in one store, don't go here.
Look what ice cream I've found! Tastes sooo goood! And just 35 calories per serving
Used to go to Whole food in California and gas always been awesome. Here in the Union square branch lines are too long so you have to queue for ages... Just wanna pay and leave
One of the busiest and most crowded in the city . If you're not in a hurry, it's good to shop here sometimes. Open late , too.
Go to the catering section for a large variety of healthy food
I come here for the prepared meals and the view of Union Square from the seating area upstairs.
On an uncrowded day, get a window seat upstairs and admire the beautiful view of Union Square from above
Try the tea cookies by the pound! So many options to choose from! The cupcakes are also good!
