Three floors of books in every possible genre. Quiet and not crowded . Starbucks on one of the floors. Also pretty good selection of vinyls .

This barnes and nobles is about 4 floors! Starbucks is in the 4th floor I think. Have a great selection of books , new releases. Typical Barnes n nobles just bigger!

The biggest B&N in the city with a good selection of gaming and roleplaying books . More than a few Pathfinder supplements, but be sure and ask them to carry more!

Love this space .... you can sit in the Cafe if your snacking on something and all the way upstairs if you are not

This is one of the few remaining massive bookstores in the city , and it's a literary wonderland. Go here without any book in mind, just pick one up and start reading.

Always pleasant, staff is friendly and responsive. There are plenty of smaller bookstores and local bookstores nearby but for a specialized & very organized big box bookstore , it’s the answer✨

Awesome big store. An entire Nook section and lots of cool geek stuff upstairs too.. including vinyl toys , POP figures, etc.

I like the variety of magazines and i wish to provide more books on history, semantics, stylistics , astrology , sociology and psychology. also seating places for reading. the staff needs to be helpful

Stop by the cafe should you need a place to work in between meetings and chuckle when they tell you that they serve Starbucks coffee and don't accept Starbucks cards.

Starbucks on the third floor. It’s a huge store and the kids books area on the second floor is fantastic.

My fav spot in all New York City . First time I visited was in 2019 and coming back to it is just fascinating. You got all books you need & you can work in the Starbucks on the third floor. Best office

Great place to camp out for an hour (or more) reading books . Grab some coffee at the Starbucks cafe inside and head up to the fourth floor for the reading section.

The SAT / ACT section on the second floor is a pretty quiet place . The wooden chairs towards the back of the store are usually all full; a good place to harvest phone numbers, though.

Massive bookstore but still very charming. Public restroom room is on the second floor. There’s a cafe serving Starbucks coffee with Free WiFi .

Tons of books and goodies. You might go in for only a book but I bet anything that you will leave with about 4 books from the bargain section.

I love coming here to browse the tables and staff suggestions - like what you'd find in an independent bookshop . They support small presses too.

now that it's fall there are a lot of big events planned - when the 4th floor is shut down, ask at the 3rd floor for the book you need - someone will bring it down for you!

This is the original (aka first) Barnes and Noble. Sells vinyl records in front. Fantastic appearances by authors and politicians like Elizabeth Warren! (March 2015).

Love this bookstore . Such a big location with a great variety of books and generally really awesome book signings and events .

This is my favorite Barnes and noble! It's huge! You can always go read your new book right across the street at Union Square Park .

Book signings and bands perform on the top floor stage. The Polyphonic Spree were here recently. Sound was great if a bit loud .

Backyard Rocket Kit. Bargain section. For everyone in Manhattan with a back yard . Seriously.

Good break from the heat or cold. Large store that has pretty much any book or magazine you could want. Bathrooms !

Arguably the best B & N to browse at, but the cafe - full of freeloaders and unsmiling employees, isn't fun to have a cup of coffee at.

As one of the largest book sellers in the city , Barnes & Noble is known for its excellent lecture series, classes , and well-stocked shelves.

It's heaven. You'll not only find books but also inspiration.

They have great events here but be prepared to arrive early to get decent seats.

The lady working in the children's department is SO mean. This is the second time I've gotten yelled at by her, for something that could've easily been asked (i.e. move your stroller).

Pretty good selection of DVDs and Blu-Ray films including a vast array of criterion collection editions. Frequent sales.

This Barnes & Noble is one of my favorites in all of NYC. There are so many books here to choose from!
