In the trendy l.i.c. Is this asian restaurant with your old school favorite dishes, just upscale . A great sushi menu too. It's sexy from outside dining to lounge in front w/ Asian infused drinks
I didn't get to try much on the menu but this spot is super nice, staff was friendly and the atmosphere was also good. I had wonton soup , and chicken and shrimp fried rice , loved it.
Nice ambiance and good music playing with a DJ on hand. The food was average for the experience. Would definitely have drinks here and meet a friend.
Had the cold sesame noodles with chicken for an appetizer.. Vietnamese noodles for a an entrée and the chocolate cake for desert . All was DELCIOUS! Lemongrass chicken was amazing, too.
Excellent food, ambiance, and service. A perfect date spot ! I love their lettuce wrap , steamed bao , orange beef , and seafood pan fried noodles . Their rolls are pretty awesome too! Try the firecracker!
The staff is super friendly , the food is delicious and the view is amazing! What else can you ask? Oh yeah, good price! This is the place! ????
For a date or to entertain a client this is the best in LIC. View is redic man. Go for sushi specials here and try their mojitos .
I am typically a raw fish girl here, but sumai is the best I ever had here, the pho is amazing, and the spicy beef basil is one of my new additions. Try them!!
Get the steak cubes and the ginger mojito . You're welcome! All the rolls are great. The Blast, the Gantry. I love this place.
Pretty much turns into a nightclub in the bar area after 10:30pm. It can get a little awkward...but the Tom Yum & Wonton soups are so good!
Absolutely amazing food! Friendly service & great view of the city skyline. What more could you ask for? My new go to spot!
Great sushi . Pineapple fried rice is a good accompaniment
The Pear Martinis and the pineapple fried shrimp Rice is a must to have I love this Place....Awsome Views of NYC
The drinks are really sweet, but the food is great! Try the spring rolls , the gantry roll and the shrimpy roll .
Great food combined with a gorgeous view , SHI has it all! The Pineapple Fried Rice is our personal favorite.
Late night winds the outer borough folk make this a can't miss destination for dance awkwardness. Some nights its like Jersey Shore happening right in front of you. In other words: get here.
Great space for an upscale get together with friends.. All the fanciness of the city with none of the city traffic.
Staff seem unhappy, have a "I don't give a shit attitude". Food is pretty poor too. Popcorn beef was like a plate of rubber bands in sugar sauce and pork dumplings had zero flavor.
Upscale Asian fusion with a handful of tempting Latin twists that guarantee a chic dinner or date night .
Great sushi with a beautiful view of the city . Try to grab a seat out back, if you can.
Amazing sushi and thai food . First come first serve on the seating by the water view so go early!!
Extremely fresh sashimi , wasabi , AND ginger ! I also like how the rolls come topped w/a bit more roe , however the seaweed 's the toughest I've ever had.
The sushi was good and the waitress was very attentive. Would come back. Was bummed when they didn't do a drink they have posted online. But oh well
Pineapple fried rice , crab Rangoon and amazingly fresh sushi . Don't goof and not order one of these.
interracial couple was brutally attacked in Long Island City early Saturday, when to solicit help from the restaurant , they were shunned. "They closed the door in my husband's face,"
Softshell crab roll is good and not greasy. Good special rolls and good Chinese food too. The fried cauliflower is also really good.
Love the lychee martini !! The molten chocolate cake is delicious !!!
I love shi. Highly recommend the string beans , there's just something great about them.
Come for happy hour , stay for the view . Best bar scene on waterfront of LIC.
Atmosphere is stunning &beautiful ! Food is amazing best views over looking the city .
They have an extensive menu covering Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese. Decent food and reasonably priced.
I had the Tofu Vegetable Soup for a starter!
A bit pricey but there aren't many sushi options in LIC and overall SHI has really great sushi .
Start with bacon-wrapped shrimp and don't miss out on the Gantry Roll .
They have a takeout spot adjacent to the restaurant if you want to eat lunch by the water.
Reservations is a MUST for the weekends!! Other then that the place is great. ????
A little too fancy for my taste, but the takeout is the best in the neighborhood . And I'm not ashamed to say I'm addicted to the Pineapple Fried Rice .
Freshest seafood sushi I know besides places like nobu. Best part Michelin star restaurant . One of highest ratings possible
It's all about the view and decent food from around Asia. And the Michelin mention too.
Love this place, the view us great and so is the service!!!!!
I recommend thy order the filet mignon from this place. It is a nice portion and is marinated in a delightful house sauce !!!!
Great views of the city while you dine. Can't go wrong with the pineapple fried rice .
Great food and drinks at a great price!
The seaweed salad and beef cubes are so good. Also the steamed pork dumpling . Love the Gantry roll too. Never had a bad meal at Shi.
The ceviche , the seaweed salad , the fresh ginger & pineapple vodka drink, & the view of the NYC skyline!
amazing food! sit outdoors, great view of the city
The fried cauliflower and lychee calamari are just devine !
I had the Mapo Tofu Stew for a main dish!
The steak cubes entree are delicious, you should try it as recommended by other foursquare users, I did :)
I you want a view of manhattan definitely sit by the bar ...
Mix and match; you won't be disappointed. I enjoy the sushi tapas with a special roll and one or more appetizers. - Matthew Caldecutt
Great for takeout. All their dumplings and gluten free chinese options are fantastic. Their Pad Kee Mao is also worth trying (as long as you don't like it spicy). I'd pass on their Pad Thai, though. - Dea K.
Delicious Thai and fusion restaurant. The triple delight is yummy. Can't go wrong with roti canai. - Karen
Great views and terrific spot to picnic in the spring and summer! - Tim Huber
Fish tacos and shrimp a la mexicana are fantastic. Awesome guacamole as well. - George Kordas
Love their signature drinks. Perfect for coffee or cocktails. - Audrey O
