Puako Beach is a beach Kamuela located in United States.
69-1707 Puako Beach Dr (Queen K highway) Kamuela , HI 96743 United States
The waves are very gentle, the water is crystal clear and there is plenty of shade. There is excellent snorkeling and it is a fantastic place for paddle boarding.
There are about nine public beach accesses along Puako Beach Drive . Park on the road and walk to the ocean to see amazing water, tide pools and turtles (honu).
Walking, biking , running, crawling...up and down Puako Beach drive ... Hard to find a lovelier place to move around outdoors...
There are no street lights in Puako. If its full moon, no problem, but otherwise you'll need a flashlight to walk after dark.
My fave! Good snorkling!
be aware that there are yellow jackets that land on the sand- watch your step
