NYC based French bistro style restaurant , with great ambience, good food and friendly service . French Onion Soup , Steak Au Pouvre, Sole Meunière all good. The bomb? Raspberry Soufflé ! Don't miss that!
Similar to the NYC Balthazar, but they have afternoon tea in the London branch, and it's much cheaper than the classic hotel teas , yet high quality. Teas from Postcard, quality cakes all around
Great to have a slice of NYC in London. Buzzy venue but staff interrupt you every other second. Never left in peace to talk. I'd recommend the Wolseley over Balthazar. Just as hip but more relaxed
Chicken liver parfait was simply divine and just melts in the mouth, the lobster spaghetti was perfectly done very satisfying, loved the ambience also,, one of the best dining experiences
I am not particularly crazy about their sandwiches , but I could kill for their pear galette . Beyond delicious.
We’d follow that pain au chocolat anywhere, along with oysters , steak frites and the feeling that we’ve somehow accidentally teleported to the chicest brasserie in Paris. Read more
Lovely little patisserie here that is part of the restaurant . They offer some delicious treats like a chocolate Salted Caramel tart and chocolate eclairs to die for!
I really enjoyed the food, maybe one of the best French restaurants in London. The beef stroganoff was amazing. Just a little too much noisy though...
Cocktails , oysters , escargot , steak frites (skip the maitre d butter as too salty) and lots of wine . Prepare to wait even with reservations but staff is friendly and happy to serve. Enjoy!
Lovely place. Went there just to have a cream tea , got there 10 minutes after the "tea time" and the nice young waiter could still get it for me. One of the best scones ever, so soft. Gorgeous!
Excellent service , food and atmosphere, almost on par with New York's equivalent. go for the bloody mary , prawn cocktails , duck confit and raspberry soufflé !
I went there for a Sunday brunch . We had pancakes and it wasn't that good! Very sour and dry. I loved new york's branch more. The service was very quick and good! Waiter was nice. I prefer dinner in t
There is a buzz about Balthazar that is unmistakable, the décor, ambience, and the brisk professionalism of the staff give an incredible energy. Negroni Finis is a marvel to taste. Read more
The almond waffle is to die for, the toast and avocado YUM!! I love this place
Amazing SERVICE.. my husband said it was the best avocado toast ever.. highly recommended
What can I say? This place is amazing. Great food - salmon is great - and exceptional, genuinely friendly service . Kitchen was closed but they still prepared a 'repeat' of certain dishes we liked.
The NYC French Brasserie is finally in London. Great service, be prepared to wait for a table as reservations are full for a month and walk ins wait is usually easily and hour but the wait is worthy. Read more
Went for a delicious, generous and excellently priced champagne afternoon tea . Great selection of sandwiches , scones and pastries that kept getting r filled. Absolutely recommended!
Great brunch place , nice atmosphere, slightly different from its sister restaurant in New York. Tiny bakery hidden behind for takeaways . Stop by if you are in Covent garden
Thoroughly enjoyed this Brasserie . Let down by ride and obnoxious lady maître d's however this was made up with otherwise friendly and courteous service and great food. No beers on tap here however.
Prefer the boulangerie to the actual brasserie . Good sandwiches and salads at reasonable prices. And pastries are yum. They also deliver and do takeaway .
Great decoration and atmoshphere. Our waitress Manoela was so much fun! Wine was delicious, oysters fresh and moules marinere avec frites was just perfect. I want to go back asap!
Great breakfast , pretty good service . I would recommend it to anyone. A great experience. But prices are a little high here
Amazing restaurant ! If your a big fan of lobster this might not be the place for you, the potion won't be as large as your love for the selfish. Try they lamb it's amazing! Staff is wonderful love dem
They do a great cheese burger . But everything is excellent. It's a lovely restaurant with attentive staff . The deli next door is worth a visit too.
Amazing food, try the Shrimp and Avocado cocktail , the Onion Soup and the Halloumi cheese !
Opening week, and oh my it has not disappointed. If you fail to get a reservation , ditch the big group and opt for a walk-in with your favourites. While the wait at the bar with expert drinks.
One of my favourite places in NYC is now in Covent Garden. The bread is great, I got the focaccia and it was perfect. Coffee from Square Mile, really nice. Only for take away . Full Review... Read more
French onion soup was incredible. Duck confit was possibly the saltiest thing I've ever eaten. Service was amazing. Bonus points: we spotted Helena Bonham Carter eating at a nearby table.
Just like in Paris. But in the center of London. :) Tasty desserts and good coffee . You can also have some traditional onion soup , baguette sandwiches and salads .
Recommendations: Cheese Soufflé , Garlic Prawn , beef shepherd pie . Haven't tried most of things but what I tried was delicious. Amazing Staff .
Great place for brunch . Super classical interior and menu. Must visit and don't forget to book . Bellini , eggs and coffee with pastry !
The mussels with fries were so substantial i had to share with my friends. Brilliant food, brilliant staff and location.
Brilliant brunch . Nice spot by somerset house and Covent Garden. Try the baked spicy eggs . Love that they have sourdough and fresh bread a plenty.
I stopped by in an attempt to secure a pre 10am Bloody Mary - no luck. However, the mocha substitute was outstanding. The menu looks good as well - I'll be back to sample that.
This is how all restaurants should be! Wonderful food sensibly priced , comfortable decor, fantastic bartenders - detailed mixologists really. Seats at the bar usually available! Go!!
Very good bread , the duck pie was a little sweet for my tastes, so order it with something bitter. Raspberry Souffle is highly recommended.
Great atmosphere! Book in advance. The afternoon tea is amazing and reasonably priced. Plus pastries are made in house. Breakfast is good too.
Completely incredible. The afternoon tea isn't on the main menu...but it's the best I've ever had in London.
Great place for breakfast . Try their New York pancakes , almond waffles , eggs Florentine , avocado on toast with poached eggs .
Steak w/pomme frittes. Steak perfectly grilled and seasoned. Frittes, second attempt. Great. But restaurant a month old. So still teething. Brian, bar mgr. Brought in to help them open. Thank, god!
Lobster and chips were tasty. As were the sausages , mash and gravy . Buzzing atmosphere.
Quality dropped especially when busy. Hope they fix soon. Used to be one of my favourite. That's not latte art !
Food is really good! If you dorm want to spend much, don't ask for meat. Onion soup and beef tartar were delicious! Desserts were work of arts !
Everything but steak frites is amazing, great service. I also love the seafood cocktail . My favourite neighbourhood restaurant .
Very good high quality service - similar concept with NYC branch - go and enjoy ...
The latest foodie export from across the pond , stop at Balthazar to enjoy it's brasserie-style cuisine, or grab an artisan treat to go from the bakery next door.
Amazing afternoon tea ! They every brought out some extra's as it was our anniversary.
We ate at the boulangerie, extremely good!! apricot gateau basque , creme caramel donut , and savory pies ????????????????
Good news for London, is the difference here; the drinks. Legendary Brian Silva, aka the gentlemen most famous for turning the upstairs bar at Rules into a cult classic , bravely accepted the challenge Read more

Fantastic meal! We had the slow roasted lamb, sirloin steak, and whole sole - all were fantastic. Friendly and attentive staff to boot! - Christian Polman
Great for Sunday brunch and bottomless Bellini's. Make sure you book though as it's always packed! - Chris Shanahan
Amazing interior, beautiful theatre! Saw the nutcracker, it was wonderful! Lovely champagne cocktails which we pre ordered for the interval. - Emily-jane
The most amazing shop! I'm not particularly a gadget lover but I was impressed. Incredibly stylish and so great to see 'hands on' from customers so actively encouraged. - Carol Arthur
