Not too big, and not too small, the Philadelphia Zoo is perfect for a day of family fun and exploration. If you are paying with a card, skip the line and use the kiosks, it's much faster and easier.
America's first zoo . Parking is easy now with new deck. Plenty of shade throughout to keep you cool on hot days.
Still nice to check out in the colder months. Santa at the treehouse, plus you can still see a lot of the animals out. Not all of course, but I was surprised in comparison to other zoos .
You have to get the yearly membership pass! Saves you tons of money and is available for you and all your family for a low price. Special membership only visits and savings.
We took the day and went to the Philly Zoo and Dinosaur ???? exhibit and there’s a lot of walking ????????♀️ and a lot of up hill walking wear sneakers ????!!! We had a remarkable day me and My Bird ????!!!
Great zoo with amazing new big cats exhibit . Tigers and lions can walk over you and explore the zoo . Parking is $15 and don't forget to mention if you're in the military
Avoid coming on rainy days. None of the animals are out and there was only one indoor eating area, which was filled to capacity. The children still had a wonderful time. The Primate House is the best
The new walkways in the sky for the animals were great. You can bring in your own snacks and drinks, too! They have strollers available for rent. Peacock stalking is also available.
Nice educational environment; staff is very friendly and answers any questions.
New improvements to the zoo were completely worth it!
One thing that I always would worry about when visiting the Zoo , was if all the animals were properly taken care of, which they are!

It was normal zoo animals and activities. The kids got to ride a pony and pet animals in the petting zoo . There also a small train . The animals were active
They have a lot of great activities for the little ones.
Americas first zoo - great cat & primate walkways.
Something for everyone. Very kid and family friendly . Weekdays are best for avoiding crowds. But bring a lunch since most food courts are closed. Love the kids petting zoo .
An early-morning, Christmas Eve fire in the 'World of Primates' building killed 23 animals in 1995, all endangered species. In 1999, the 'Peco Primate Reserve ' opened to replace the lost building.
What an awesome zoo !!!! It was hotter than sin but we ???? every minute of our time.
The primate house is great, leave time to stop in several times during day because you will see something new each time!

Opened in 1874, this is the first zoo in the US. It's home to more than 1,300 animals, many of which are rare & endangered and is the only zoo breeding giant otters in North America.
Take some time between viewing the animals to admire the flora and fauna. There are some amazing trees to view at the zoo too.
Right when you come into Bank of America Big Cat Falls there is a chain link fence with a bit of vegetation against it. Look down, one of the big cats likes to laze about in that shade.
Such a part of the city 's history. Great exhibits . Parking is tough though
The place is wonderful. Love how the animals have so much room to move around.
The burger , chocolate ice cream , horse riders, roaring lions...an amazing experience
It's very annoying to come to the Zoo on a nice summer afternoon and find that most of the food and drink places are closed. Very dissatisfied.
The big snapping turtle is named Meatball . He breathes air, so if you wait long enough, he'll have to move, and that is an impressive sight indeed.
great place off season, no crowds but also no food trucks , boo.
Visit First Niagara Big Cat Falls and you just might be lucky enough to see the new African lioness Tajiri!
If you have a family, get a membership! One visit a year and it practically pays for itself! You get entry to the Treehouse with it as well .
Ask for a cool zoo map to find your way around easily
Much renovation lately. Parking needs to be addressed as well as traffic flow.
Summer Ale Festival was so much fun! Love the exhibits and dancing !
Cool place, not that big, but the animals are very close and easy to see.
The new Kids petting zoo area is fantastic.
Some kids loose their nerve crossing the rope bridge !
The monkey overhead walkways are a very nice addition.
Check out the McNeil Avian Center. Many colorful birds to see there.
If you plan on going to the zoo more then once a year get a membership. It will save you money in the long run
The new petting zoo is amazing for kids of any age!
A lot of walking and many amines to see
Animals are still way better than most children (and parents)
Wait for the camel ride was 45 min party group all riding solo.By the time it was our turn they told us only the kids could ride.At primate house they were set up for an event.Don't waste your money.
