Best museum in Houston.
Keep your eyes open. When celebs come to Houston, they nearly always stop by the Menil. We've spotted Gwyneth Paltrow, Francis Ford Coppola and Andre Leon Talley.
Admission is free, but you can still donate a bit at the front and back desk if you're feeling generous.
The obelisk for Martin Luther King Jr. just outside Rothko Chapel . Also the exhibit for African American Civil Rights on photo display. Check out before it checks out.
The collection always rotates, and if your interested in art then you should check out it's bookstore , just across the road . This cute shop, when dug around in, has some interesting stuff.
Donate if you can! 10$ is worth the visit and you are contributing to keep the place open
A beautiful museum and collection. Sometimes they think they're a bit edgier than they actually are, though.
Come during the daylight, museum lit by natural sunlight through transparent roof makes the artwork lovely (and they have lights for at night too)
Russian icons, Greece collection, famous painting of little electric chair by Andy W. in one stylish place .
One of the best collections of modern art . Period.
To be honest I wasn't expecting much, but man was I surprised! Some of their antiquity artifacts were over 3000 years old. They also have Warhol and Picasso ! Their zero photography policy was torture.
They have a great art work. Picasso , MIró, Van Gogh
Free admission but the collection is so good that I would pay if required.
