Surprisingly good food and atmosphere! Came back a few times and was always pleased! Baked crab , bacon-wrapped asparagus and scallop are really good! And come with cheap beer :)
Hits: Tsukune & scallop bacon yakitori , agedashi tofu , tempura . Misses: okonomiyaki (too omelette-like), Kara-age (too big and scary pink inside.) They keep the sake flowing & can seat short notice.
Amazing izakaya grub! We loved the Maguro Yukke (essentially tuna poke with a raw egg for dipping ), mentai tamago yaki (grilled tamago with spicy roe ) and chicken tsukune skewers .
Wonderful place for some Japanese pub grub which is done with standards of a restaurant . Must try the wagyu cubes, the pork w onsen egg . The clams too.
Great food and ambience. They don't allow tapau so make sure you order just enough or pig it all down. ????
Loved their grilled Mackerel . Nice ambience and they are very consistent with their quality of food, servings and service. You will not get bored of eating here.
Nicely done up interior, attentive and polite staff , and to top it off the food is excellent!
Feels like Japan, especially with all the Japanese around (which is always a good sign). Iberico pork belly was just divine.
You’re forgiven for thinking that you’ve just been served one whole chicken (deboned) when u order the karaage . Those monsters are the size of tennis balls
Everything pictured - amazing + hot sake !
Very authentic place, very good atmosphere. The Japanese here are food very nice! ^_^
Primarily the skewers or grilled items . Restaurant also offer noodles and rice on the menu.
Good Japanese food .. Lunch menu .. Covered outside seating . Don't bring any vegetarian with you, almost no food option for them.
Great food; slightly limited lunch menu , but good for dinner or drinks.
Interesting Place!! Tuna sashimi with home-made cream cheese !
Their set lunch portions are big. We couldn't finish it, but they don't allow takeaways and advised us not to pack our own too. There was like one plate left and they just want us to leave it
Nice selection of drinks. Though the wine looks Japanese but it is French.
Great food and great promotion on beer (2 for 1)
Good fun and the food's good too
Primarily a drinking place with lots of sake and shoju options. Food is so so. Monkfish liver is good though.
Try the ramen special. They change it every week!
Proper izakaya . Hit it with the post-work salarymen for skewers and cold beer
Average food, but good selection of sake . Asked them to split a bill in two-seemed like this was the most challenging project they had been given in a year, and the girl was in a pretty bad temper.
Decent skewers . Sliced fried chicken . Braised pork .
Not so good food. Had the lunch fish and chips .
Great place to chill
Food is not bad. Sapporo black chilled. Service not good. First time waiter spilled beer mug on me. Second visit staff made a comment when asked to change table despite spending so much. Bad service
Good drinking hole, don't waste your money on the food here
Yakitori is good but too salty for my taste buds. Inform chef to go easy on the salt.
Food was served rather lukewarm and monkfish liver tasted quite strong. Definitely come here more for drinks than for the food.
Spare ribs were great
Small eats and sake
Overpriced for medium/low quality. Service is horribly uncoordinated. Won't be back.
fruits n veg are of better quality and more variety to choose from.Veg n fruits are packed n neatly displaced. - Clara Cheang
With nice mood to have coffee at any time, seats are quite limited compared to numbers of incoming visiters, i think - SANGHOON OH
The Black Spicy Chicken Ramen is simply fantastic, a heavenly experience. Add some sesame and Bonito flakes for extra effect ;-) - Albert Koellner
Love the family friendly prices yet quality food here. Less than $15 for most sets! - Jaclyn
This is what your gran would cook if you adopted a Jap obaasan. Simple, comforting and well-executed. Love the grilled winter yellowtail cheek, beef tendon stew, mushroom tempura and pickles. - Sammy
Grilled onigiri (shoyu kushiyaki onigiri) is excellent! Nice and crispy on the outside, moist in the center. Must try! - Stacy Seah
