Barrio Cafe

This is a surprisingly good restaurant for any southwest airport location. The Chiles Nogada was excellent and came in 10 minutes after order. I'll come back!

I can't believe I'm saying this about airport food , but the nachos were the best I've ever had. Not cheesy, but the fresh veggies and chorizo more than made up for it. James Beard nominee indeed!

Wow. They even do the famous Barrio guacamole to go at the Barrio Cafe Take Away window. Do not miss.

Amazing burrito , super moist! Also recommend it with the fries , steak sized, that come with their own spiced ketchup

The chicken spinach salad with out onions is really good, also the hand shaken silver tequila margaritas are yummy

Arizona burrito w/eggs was hot, fresh and delicious! Coffee is served French press , also good. Great spot for breakfast !

The grilled poblano torta didn't look too pretty but it tasted amazing! Best avocado I've ever had.

Shrimp is really good, mahi tasted too fishy.

Get one of the booths lining the back edge of the restaurant , you have an even chance of getting access to a power outlet along the floor kick board...

My 3rd trip here since June and my only stop when at the airport . Lowrider with Don Julio and Posole is so good.

Where else can you get an accessible James beard award winning restaurant ? Cochinita pibil is my favorite! Also serving Mexican coke and horchata .

I like their idea of a cup of coffee ! You get a whole French press !

Arizona burrito for breakfast was delicious and huge, ton of meat and cheese , enough to split easily

The skirt steak tacos are good, 4 tacos and fries for 12, which in airport prices is pretty reasonable. While the margaritas are good, they're too expensive . Stick with the 20 oz draft beer for 7$

3 shrimp tacos for $17 and each only has a single shrimp in it.

Chilaquiles Verdes are so good I have ordered it both times I have been here.

I had leftovers from another restaurant , but they let me eat them there, and I just ordered a couple margaritas to round out the meal

Chiliquilles with eggs over hard and fresh squeezed OJ is the best thing to order, don't get americani cause the potatoes have tons o onions

$4 ANY shot (yes even Don Julio 's) with your purchase of beer (not sure if it's just during breakfast )

Try the Torta Pollo , it was awesome. The sangria is pretty great too

The chorizo is no joke, it's the real deal and tall spicy . Good food.

The green Pozole is to die for! But last I checked it wasn't gluten free .

As far as I can tell this is the only decent restaurant in T4. Try the pork tacos !

Jalapeño tuna sandwich was great. A little messy to take with you on the plane .

The food was good - for being in an airport . I had the nachos - which were a little weird. They had chorizo , blue cheese , and pine nuts included... Service was a little slow, but not horrible.

Exceptional food but slow service. Allocate extra time for pokey waiters and bored reception or get the amazing food Togo for your flight.
