The Gates of the Old City This coquina stone entry can be seen at the north end of St. George Street in the St. Augustine historic district.
St George St St. Augustine , FL 32084 United States
The “history”, and representation of that period in time. The whole Historic district holds a special energy, for all to experience.
Grab some ice cream , sit on a nearby bench and watch the tourists walk by. Or check out the Old City Gates at night where it's rumored a young girl named Elizabeth haunts the area.
Photos and the history
What a great city to visit! So many shops & restaurants to meander through & dine at!
Take the Red train to learn about this area. In awe at the age of something this old in the US.
So anachronistic in such a touristy area.
Literally some pieces of stone that have been standing here for a long time.
Awesome place .love it
