Super great Hotel to stay at! The staff is so friendly here you can not even imagine! It has a nice pool area and is just walking distance away from the famous Waikiki Beach
Fantastic hotel , especially for the young professional. Great lobby bar and luxury pool spaces. However, for the love of God, do not bring your children here. Plenty of other kid approved hotels near.
Fantastic, stylish hotel . They provide turndown service in the evening.Stuffs are young, polite, friendly .It was like walker hill hotel . Even though they have no private beach ,have value to stay!:))
Excellent, stylish hotel . The rooms were fantastic, and the staff was super friendly . Definitely eat at Morimoto's if you have the chance.
Nice rooms, great pool. A bit of a walk to Waikiki, but close to Ala Moana mall (check out the Japanese food court !) for shopping and food.
Incredible boutique/designer hotel right next to Ala Moana and Waikiki. Hip design, cool views , pool and bars . Definitely coming back here.
We ended up eating in the hotel a lot during our stay, and it was all delicious! Staff was great...and the secret bar is a fantastic idea (even if we never got to try it).
Make sure to enjoy the pools here, especially at the end of a day of beach hopping. Order a coconut mohito and lay down facing the harbor . Find animal shapes in the passing clouds in the sky.
If you're staying in Honolulu, The Modern is where you need to call your temporary home. The rooms are beautiful & the service is excellent. We met Iron Chef Morimoto here!
I loved this boutique style hotel . Very contemporary , great pool and service. Not on the Beach but a close walk to the Hilton Hawaiian Village and Waikiki Beach . Marimoto's Restaurant is here.
This hotel is so wonderful. Every single staff member is so friendly . Plus it's location is great! You aren't in the crazy hustle of Waikiki but you are still close.
Hotel is fine but the concierge has not enough information about island ! We asked for special beach for honeymoon they just give the names of public beaches ... We found it by ourselves Kalaha Resort
If you want to watch the Hilton Village fireworks on Friday nights, go next door to Sarento on top of the I for dinner . Book a table around 7pm so you're ready for when the show starts at 7:45pm
Great spot and highly recommend for anyone in their mid-20s. Outdoor pool deck is awesome and free to use. Easy access to beach as well .
One of the most well designed hotels I've ever been to. Hawaiian chic . Pop into their gift shop - cool selection of shades + swim trunks.

As much as I love beer , the Pool Bar serves an amazing Deconstructed Mai Tai and Frozen Coconut Mojito . The mojito is like an adult ICEE. So good. Be careful.

Great deck. Great pool. Great bar . And cool beer bottle lights! Also check out the surfboard backsplash behind the front desk!

The Gardenia cocktail is wonderful! Light, refreshing and perfect for hot weather. If you want a proper cognac/brandy you'll need to go to inside bar where they have glass snifters. No glass outside.
The decor whimsically nods to the Hawaiian tradition, with brightly colored mini ukuleles, a sculptural surfboard installation behind the reception desk, and books about the area in the lobby.
Beautiful new hotel , you have to go get drinks at their bar , its to the left when you walk in passed the secret bookcase door.
In the process of upgrading but it seems nice. The Grove Bar is great with excellent service!
Ask for an ipad (if needed) and an empty fridge so you can buy your own drinks and store them in there!
The Modern Twist at the pool bar combines flavors of ginger and mint and is well worth the drop in.
Amazing place. I highly recommend staying here. The staff and events are fun.
If you enjoy the Ukulele in the room, you can get a free lesson at the Ukulele shop at the Hyatt Waikiki (everyday at 4pm- I think).
Fireworks every Friday night next door at the Hilton Hawaiian Village . Rockin' Rainbow Review Show starts at 7pm followed by fireworks at 745pm. Read more
The blueberry pancakes are probably the best I've ever had!
Partial ocean view rooms
Coolest hotel in Hawaii! Pool is great rooms are fresh and new - BUT - Worst breakfast food service ever! Go somewhere else - way too slow & orders are taken incorrectly ! So annoying day after day !
You can request a frig, microwave, and coffee maker to make your stay even better. The staff is amazing!!!!
Hotel is modern clean decor although white decor is showing wear&tear. Stay in a high floor room as lower ones can be noisy . Bar/restaurant food is not good morimoto is much better.
The Sun Suite has beautiful views !
There's a nightclub where you can party away and have some fun.
Order a Dos Cubanos . Spicy . Refreshing. This could pull you through a night... until the champagne pops upstairs.
Great location and amazing views !
Look behind the lobby bookcase , fun!! And the private beach is great!
Don't try to get the specials for mayorship, one of the employees checks in every day at all Modern locations
Stayed here for business - confused about the single ply toilet paper, clocks that you can't see at night, creepy all white hallways, - is this Marriott's atten
Love the pool on second floor! Very chill
Nice bar above the club.
Carly at the concierge is excellent and extremely helpful!
Parking in the garage across the street is way cheaper than valet!!
If you need a full leg wax, ask for Heather, one of the best technicians in town .
The secret bar is so awesome...it's behind the bookcase ;)
Really fun place to hang. Very loungey, music could be a bit louder, but cool environment. Everyone's dressed nicely. Crowd about 28-45. The Addiction club is also right next door! - Kris Brooks
The frozen coconut mojito is incredible! Beautiful staff, great pool, good times - Andy H.
Their turn-down service is stellar. It's a treat to get back to the room to see our next gift. - J. Morgan
Daily pasta was herb infused tagliatelle with mushrooms & prosciutto and it was amazing. Love the focaccia & lavosh with curry hummus too - really addictive. Service is inconsistent and a bit slow... - yrummy
Would definitely recommend doing the sunset cocktail cruise. Great views, nice pupus and drinks. Very relaxing! - Lori Elder
