Start from the 4th floor and be sure to pick up your free audio guide so you can listen to the specially curated music as you take in the art ! Definitely adds to the sensory experience.
Great Fine Arts museum , not in its permanent collection but for its exhibitions , from Miles Davis to Faberge eggs represents a beautiful melange of artistic talents.
Great collection. I absolutely enjoyed the contemporary art mixed with classical art pieces and how the each relates to the other. It was also interesting to see donations from Montreal‘s families
Cavernous space that just keeps going. Nice collection of contemporary and modern art . Temporary exhibit space is largest attraction so be sure you're interested. Lovely day overall.
Thierry Mugler exhibition is fantastic, and the museum has a lot of art pieces worth to see like Rodin’s Thinker or Monet, Picasso, Renoir etc paintings .
Great place to visit if you are in Montreal. It is free to the general public and it is a great place to visit (free of charge) if you want to see some nice pieces of art
Took advantage of free admission to the general public until January 16 2019. Loved the photography exhibit ! Def want to come back!
Great permanent collection which is free and amazing exhibitions which last a few months so you have a lot of time to visit them many times.
This place is really three buildings united by an underground floor. Great for perusing in the winter. Lovely facilities. Great collection with lots of variety.
I was lucky to visit thierry mugler’s couturisme exhibition and it was one of a kind👌🏼✨
The museum offers a very interesting small exhibition of Napoleon related art and some of this personal stuff.
Great modern art downstairs - check it out before you run through the bowls and chairs exhibits upstairs!
Free for permanent collection . Attended the Picasso exhibition and I really enjoyed it.
If you have intention to see all is better to go on wednesday, because closes at 7pm. Other days they close at 5pm. It is worthed!
went during Pompeii exhibit and I really learned a lot. felt artsy , fartsy. it was crowded on Sunday afternoon though.
The Van Gogh to Kandinsky exhibition was really enjoyable. Probably the best one I've seen here.
The permanent collection is beautiful. The Napoleon section is also a great and unique aspect to the museum .
Their permanent collection is housed in many buildings on the campus. I spent five hours and only managed to see four of them. You'll hate MoMA after visiting this place.
The temporary exhibitions are usually good, but don't miss the permanent collection , it is very good too!
Half is dedicated to European & North American art whilst the other focuses on Inuit & first nations art .
The design exhibit (it's the green one) is not to be missed
Sprawling museum complex with surprises around every corner.
Cool that they have a very large free section in addition to the featured premium exhibit .
Fantastic impressionist and surreal modern pieces!
Chihuly was a flawless exhibit ! There was also the Napoleon one! Very rich and inspiring collections!
Interesting modern exhibits mixed with the classics
The Museum of Fine Arts welcomes the most fabulous exhibits from around the world.
This museum never ends! There are 3 main wings with 3-4 floors each, all beautifully presented.
Rodin exhibition was decent. Floors S1 and S2 have free contemporary art viewing for exhibition ticket purchasers.
It's rare to see a museum with such a robust free section - worth a visit!
Admission to non-visiting exhibits is free for adults under 30. Huge museum with multiple floors and buildings!
Absolutely unbelievable exhibit in a brilliant museum . One of our Montreal highlights.
This exhibit is AMAZING. We'd never experienced anything like it.
Don't miss the new collection of québécois photographers . Amazing look into Quebec identity and culture
Take a guided tour it's free and gives a greater appreciation!
Underground tunnel and exhibits connect both buildings.
Wonderful museum . Plan on at least 2-3 hours to view all the works.
Special exhibits never disappoint!
There’s a brooch with Napoleon’s real hair in it which is both gross and cool.
The objects and design section is a must! #mbam
Great Renaissance exhibit ; awful staircases
Great exhibit - different and dramatic- easy to see.... Takes about 45 minutes
Just saw the "Van Gogh to Kandinsky" exhibition . Not bad, worth the 20$ ticket. However, the title is a bit misleading, there were only 2 Van Gogh's, 3 Kandinsky's and 1 Picasso. Was expecting more.
Nice mixture of historical and modern art .
One of the best art museum I ever seen
I loved the African art !
One of the best museums I've ever been to
The permanent collection is free and it contains a wide variety of art , from medieval times onwards. Its temporary exhibits are exquisite and they even have a section on Napoleon
