Manly Beach

Spend at least a couple of hours here to chill and watch the waves roll. The 30mins ferry ride from Circular Quay to here is a great way to sightsee Sydney Harbour .

I liked this place. There is peaceful and relaxed if compare with Bondi beach .The ocean a bit cold,but rest on the beach is very nice. Unfortunately, all cafe around beach are closed around 7 pm.

Manly beach is large and there is space it's got sand and surf and it's nice to visit, and the number of bars along the strip makes it good for the les discerning beech goer and worthwhile

As many of the tips have noted- don't leave your rubbish on the sand- it's a beautiful beach and such a shame after a summers day to see it littered with McDonald's bags etc- and don't feed gulls!

one of iconic beach in Sydney . Not as crowded as Bondi although not during weekeend tho. Somehow i feel cozier here than any other beach in Sydney basin area

Golden sand, blue waters, what more could you want? Iconic beach surrounded by many bars and eateries . Makes a great day out.

I guess this is where locals and tourist come for a dip in the sea. Walk towards the end where the pool is! They also have clean toilets around.

Nice tourists beach that's not bondi. Many shops and cafes , and there are lessons that are great for beginners. Also the ferry ride from the city is beautiful!

Get some sun before the thirst hits then quench it at Manly Wine on the way to Shelly Beach . Don't forget to reapply sunscreen often, that Sydney sun is no joke!

With so many beaches on the eastern Australian coast, it's hard to recommend one over the other. Manly is too touristy to enjoy on your own or as a family, but is (probably) a great place for singles.

The best place for a nice relaxing stroll along the beach , cool places for coffee ... Ferry ride from Syd to Manly gives the best view of opera house and bridge !

Lovely environment, white sand , clean areas, clear water, scenic photographic locations and fabulous food on the coast.

Esplanade Fish and chips really great. Movenpick Icecream is tasty. Many clubs near by. A lot of Bikini's, Dogs, Seagulls and surf board . Wanna come back again. ^^

If you’re looking for shallow waters with big waves then this is where to go! Great for surfing and there’s a big beach to rest on too!

Nice place to hang out. if you don't feel like going to the beach , buy something to eat on the stairs

Definitely one of my favourites - beautiful, lots of space and close to shops, food and pubs .

Beautiful beach and place but especially on sundays it is too crowded .you may have to wait ferry queue to return to Sdney.

Top of the mountain has a gorgeous view to the main beach and ocean #manlybeach

Great place to run, surf everytime.. Practice sport enjoying the ocean, birds, trees and much more of the nature .. Many people around the world visit here

Can get a tad windy at times but a nice spot to relax! Kayak and board rental on wharf side nearby if you're feeling adventurous!

Best pub is 4 pines, best bar the styne. Don't urinate on the corso or you'll end up in the manly daily

Lovely beach , stretches for miles. Less of a tourist trap than Bondi. Catch the boat from Circular Quay for less than $10.

If you catch the day when the currents are strong - then swimming is prohibited on the most of the beach except for the most northern and southern parts. And the sea is way more dirty then Bondi.

Bring your joggers for a beautiful scenic run along the walkway, then jump straight in the surf to cool you down - perfect!

Great place to have good seafood ,it's a bit on the high end but I would not mind to pay a bit extra for quality.

Great short walk from Manly beach to Shelly beach—just stick to the left side of the path.

If the waves are too intimidating, walk around to Shelly Beach and enjoy the calmer water!

Learn to surf at Manly Surf School, located on the beach . Lessons every few hours - go early to avoid big groups.

Seagulls WILL eat your food out of your hands, even if you're taking a bite out of it. They are scum! My advice, eat away from the main beach .

The water is beautiful, shades of blue and green, but in winter I didn't have courage to go in!

Small lockers at the Blue rental tent in the middle of the beach . But only until 4:30pm!
