Lovely view , romantic setting , great food and wonderful service. We were here for brunch on a lazy Sunday morning and had a great time over some great eggs Benedict over crab cakes and mimosas .
The carpaccio and pizza are my favorite dishes here.We like being in Glady's section because she knows all the different variety of wines and knows what to recommend. Service from Gladys is awesome .
Wow guys, take it easy on the truffle oil ! Nobody wants their entree to taste like new car just so it can feel "fancy ." Also, it's probably only "moderately cheap " for the area.
Awesome location, from where you can see the SD downtown ( go there at dinner ). The food is really good for a reasonable price ( $90 for two, w/o the tip ). The service was a little too fast, though.
Best pasta to get is the capellini pomodoro . It seems like the most basic pasta on the menu but it tastes amazing. Trust me. Also instead of asking for apps, fill up on bread :)
Second favorite Italian spot in SD. I come here when I would like scenery or a special occasion . Service is great food quality is fantastic.
There’s something for everyone at Il Fornaio—from a purist who only wants spaghetti and meat sauce to a more daring Italian connoisseur eager for pasta with mussels , clams , garlic and wine sauce .
Hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here. Service was excellent and we were able to host a party of 30 a la carte (no fixed menu ).
It's really Italian restaurant ! Not like Olive Garden! Very recommend. The price are cheap for the restaurant and so delicious dishes.
Il Fornaio has delicious Italian food no matter which location you're at. This on e in Cornado, Ca has great atmosphere and a gorgeous view of the harbor !
Ask to be seated on the back patio - al fresco dining at it's best. You get a great view of the San Diego Bay , it's quiet and romantic , and they have space heaters and a fireplace to keep you warm.
Amazing view , delicious food, perfect service.
Great views of the downtown skyline from the patio !
Expensive but well worth it. Always ask for the recommendations, you won't be disappointed
Great food, spectacular view , excellent service...try pennete a la vodka , the trio for dessert ...
Nice location by the water. Fresh pasta and good service . Good combination
Try the Saltimbocca - A fave. Any #AFPeeps looking for fine Italian San Diego dining at #AFPMeet #AFPICON? Try Il Fornaio on Coronado.
The salmon omelette is excellent an the fresh squeezed orange juice will have you dropping a c-note on refills but it is worth every penny!
its really nice to have dinner late night at the bar..freindly staff and you always meet interesting people
Tony and Johnny are amazing bartenders ! Great food, great service, amazing views .
Try the Gnocchi - Where to eat in San Diego during #AFPMeet #AFPICON? Some #AFPeeps love Il Fornaio on Coronado.
Excellent views of downtown San Diego from dining on Coronado Bay . Mediterranean Style seafood & pasta done deliciously. You stay classy Il Fornaio.
It doesn't get much better than this. Authentic Italian food and spectacular views of downtown San Diego. There is only a handful of authentic Italian restaurants in San Diego and this one is tops!!!

The pasta felt like the tomato sauce was from a can, and the cheapest on the market . The Carpaccio was uneatable. The bread is hot but dry.
Try the Mezzeluna Integrati - San Diego dining #AFPMeet #AFPICON? #AFPeeps love Il Fornaio on Coronado.
Dessert sampler is divine, and great for two to share.
Be sure to try the regional menu.
the alcohol in cocktail could not be felt. Sadly it was highly needed to forget a little bit the disappointment from the food. The view is the only positive attribute here
I've never had anything but excellent service here, but noticed that Stacy (red head) is always there and takes really good care of her tables.
The view is the best part. We had to send back everything: calamari was overcooked + tasted like old oil. The Caesar salad tasted like rotten eggs . Wow. We canceled the rest of the order + left.
The view here is breathtaking ????! Seafood is great, but the chicken was too salty and greasy
Great pizza price at happy hour .
This is a joke: fresh salad is far from being fresh, more likely from a package that has been laying there forever. Meatballs and polenta - so so, probably frozen too. It's a chain, nothing to add (((
For restaurant week the pasta is rather bland while the beef short rib was over salted. Service was excellent but overall an okay experience.
When it's hot they close the outdoor portion, and that can make seating an issue.
ArcGIS Developer Rupert recommends this spot during the ESRI UC for a great view of downtown San Diego's towers. Read more
The tagliata was delicious
Great view to tha san diego bay !
Romantic View of the bay , excellent food and services.
Don't sit next to the open kitchen unless you don't want to be able to hear yourself think
Beautiful view of Downtown SD.
Breakfast is to die for. Flavors and view ... nothing better.
Try the Dirty Chopin Martini - Coronado Island cocktails
When you are in coronado come in and ask for brad!
Try the Cannelloni -
quite the birthday spot! Three on my last visit...
They changed the happy hour to $6 and less food. :( I want the calzone back
Best tiramisu ever.
They serve brunch on Saturdays.
Garlic knots are little dough heaven. Fried artichokes as good as castroville where they are grown. Solid reasonably priced food w view - Emily Sabako
An Italian island in Coronado. Authentic fresh made pasta with delicious sauces. Pizzas are Neapolitan style (as it should). Good service and complete Italian grocery shop in your way out. - Alexandre Munhoz

Beautiful rocks, replete with shells, seaweed, and small marine organisms. Fun to sit on and explore. - Miriam Goldman
Come for a few hours in you are in the San Diego area; this island is even more laid back than SD, which is the most laid back city I've been to. - Jake Smith
