We stayed one night, shot some great pictures at sunrise - especially the few we caught of goats leaping from cliff-to-cliff at the top of the canyon. What a treasure!
This is officially the second largest canyon in the U.S. Tons of hiking available, but I recommend a mountain bike ride to the Lighthouse , which is truly one of the most beautiful sights in Texas .
Don't miss the show "Texas " it's a first rate production. But don't go early, and bring lots of water. They sell it there but you'll need cash if you don't want to walk to the concession stand

This place is beautiful, awesome, gigantic and you can do pretty much a lot of different things in different days. Worth the visit!

Hike the GSL trail to the lighthouse . Also take rock garden trail to fortress rim spur. This park is a true gem.
Who knew such an immensely beautiful place this close to Amarillo? If in the area it's a must see.

The CCC trail has a great overlook view of the park , and it's an easy walk from start to finish :)
