Roasted goose is so good!would have been better if it was piping hot. Couldn't finish and ask them to pack the remaining, it was very sweet of them to cut up into smaller pieces and add more sauce!
Roasted Goose is a must! But you have to come early, otherwise they will be sold out. I always order combination of Roasted Goose , Crispy Pork & BBQ Pork . They are all tasty.
Yung Kee Restaurant is now developed into a renowned Chinese restaurant served Guangdong cuisine. Must-try items include Roast Goose . Welcome everybody to ask me questions about Hong Kong.
Roast goose (leg more expensive juicer), crispy pork belly (Siu yuk), snow pea sprouts in garlic season (Oct-Feb). We tried egg white with crab roe a new must for us. My wife and I are regulars.
best roast goose and preserved eggs . Very good BBQ Pork (Cha Siew). good dry cha siew noodles . I recommend sitting on bottom floor as that’s where the best food is anyway.
the roast goose is what made Yung Kee famous, but they have so much more to offer here. Take the time to review the menu, many of the seafood dishes are excellent as well ! Come with a large group!
I ate at this restaurant in 7/27 2009. Absolutely fantastic taste and ambiance !! Michelin starred restaurant . My recommendation is roast goose and fried rice . See the link for the roast goose photo. Read more
Surprisingly good???????? despite the bad reviews of their roasted goose . We both had goose & sucking pig & they’re both delicious. As for the staff , some our just chinesely rude.
Can find good roast meats and one of the easier roast meat places to find. Try to get a table in the first or second floor because the menu gets more expensive in the higher floors!
Quite disappointed with the dishes overall, famous roast goose is avg, Yat Lok is still the best. All dishes size had reduced, not very tasty & very few fish in the fish dish . 5 pax/$2,600 no wine ...
Order what everyone recommends! I particularly loved the century egg ! Not the jelly fish !
Century egg and fried veggie with salted fish are amazing
Most wait staff were very attentive and spoke English well . Goose great, but so was the soy-soaked chicken , shrimp fried rice , and seasonal veggies .
Love the food, but must be tough with some of the captains. Must tell them what you want or they put you at a table that spoilt your meal!
Thanks to its history, Yung Kee is just as popular with the locals as it is with those tourists lucky enough to hear about it so make this an absolute must when visiting Hong Kong... Read more
Staff is very friendly , helpful & patient. And very honest! When the total bill looked strange, she redid it three times to make sure it was correct and apologized. A pleasant surprise for HK.
Must go restaurant every time you visit HK. If you come alone, still there's an option of take away ... Roasted Goose w/rice for HKD38
Btw there's something you can order in G/F and 1/F but not 2/F
Thanks you Calvin taking care our order. Food portion is just right and the dishes is very yummy. Good choice for people come from overseas.
For those dining alone or with a lower budget, get the BBQ rice bowl instead of ordering ala-carte. Comes with a layer of your choice of BBQ items and some veggies over a bowl of rice .
This Cantonese eatery won an honorable mention for the 2013 Foodie Forks Legendary Local Food award! It's hard to resist their roast goose !
People come for the roast goose (siu ngor), but the BBQ pork (cha siu ) is also very good.
I love the lemon chicken . Reminds me on Canadian Chinese takeout . Probably not authentic but damn delicious!
I die for this roast goose . Something about the combination of sauces. Just make sure it's hot. Deep fried spare ribs have nice flavor (good contrast to the sweetness of the goose) but are very fatty.
Roasted goose & chicken - overrated, standard has dropped. Century egg - those who like it will enjoy the gooey yolk that has strong alkaline taste. Seafood fried rice - very ordinary but pricey .
The goose here is simply the best. Haven't had better in HK. The spicy frog legs are also good. They could work on customer service though, slow as hell
If you want cool factor order winter melon soup . It's also very good
Meat lovers must come here early. By 9:06pm, white chicken and suckling pig were sold out. (Roast goose still in stock though.)
The BEST Roast Goose in the world! Must have with the slippery white noodle in master stock that just cannot be eaten properly with the provided chopsticks:)
The most famous roasted goose in Hong Kong, which probably means it isn't disgusting.
I can't believed that a well known star award goose can taste like a rubber meat. My family keep chewing the meat till our jaws almost drop off. It shows how bad and the soup of the day is lousy.
Got to try their duck and thousand years egg with pickled ginger .
Great decoration, taste so so, a bit expensive . Suitable for large group and full course meal than simple one.
It must have been one of the best goose in town !!!
Can never miss having the roast goose and melon soup whenever we're in HK. Best roast goose in town ! :)
Never miss Roasted Goose and Abalone Soup !! and Plum sauce for goose is awesome
This 福建炒飯 ($170 for dine-in, $130 for takeaway ) doesn't tastes really good
said toppest roasted goose of HK. crispy and tasty, but not amazing. overpriced bit.
The roast goose is questionably, but the char siu is delicious.
I love roasted goose ????????
The best cantonese food by far. Roasted goose is a must try!
A legendary Hong Kong brand, a successful biz story. But ended with a typical chinese family affairs drama...kind of sad. Roasted goose r not as good as before, lacking the passion in the making.
Goose so damn good. Good service also ????????????
Best Century Egg ! Superb!
Don't miss restaurant for Hong Kong trip!! Try roasted goose and Dim Sum . Good taste!!
Roast goose is still good but the vege dishes too salty. Maybe will go try the 'split' relative store next time.
Roast goose and suckling pig platter is a must!
Goose is a must to try if you're visiting HK.
Must have the roasted goose !
Order the century eggs & suckling pig along with the roast goose .
Very authentic hole in the wall cafe! The French toast and milk tea as everyone has mentioned, is good! - Mohammed Pitolwala
Chicken wings, pigeon, soufflé, beef kuey teow are the usual suspects here. - grannypurse
Must visit everytime when i m in hk...swiss sauce chicken wing and soufflé! - Jojo 陈
Get chirashi bowl at only 60 hk$ from city super - worth every penny with a great taste, freshness and size! - Jen Loong
