Very unique place to take all ages from kids and grandkids to adults. A chance to see what life was like not that long ago, yet forever ago, during the days of the Gold Rush
Living History program is very good. Historical reenactments are great to go too.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays during the school year you can see 4th and 5th grade school groups dressed in costume while participating in period activities.
One of the few parks in midtown I'd like to sit and relax in but where are the benches ?
