A beautiful quiet space to escape the hubbub of the city . See the La Trobe Reading Room, it's a beautiful space with a glass dome, but chairs in the Redmond Barry are more comfortable . Also free wifi !

Andrean Rendra Sutanto

Free wifi , good collection of books , a nice photo site for tourist , good place for people watching (from rants to choir ) easily accessible by public transport , parking around here is expensive though

Several great spaces to read, use a computer or discover something new at an exhibition or live-event at the Wheeler Centre. This is a must-visit part of Melbourne.

An unlucky student being stopped by the bold Asian guard & forced to keep his bag in locker ($2) Unless u carry an ultra-portable, there is no way a typical laptop bag will fit in tat tint cage!!

Nicholas Chu

On days with good weather they bust out the giant chess pieces so you can play a game just outside the front entrance

Stephen Weber

Unlike most libraries , The State Library of Victoria is NOT a lending library . You can enjoy library materials inside the library , but you cannot take them home with you.

Sabrina Wang

totally worth the visit, make sure visit the dome and up to the upper floors
