Amazing architecture ! Definitely my favourite spot in Melbourne for an afternoon read

Did you know? The gorgeous dome was the largest of its type in the world upon completion in 1913.

Come here during the day to take advantage of the natural sunlight. Pick a book off a shelf and read for an hour or two. Sublime.

Free wifi and a chance to power up the iPad, phone and laptop. Great place to study and lose yourself in the architecture

No talking. And make sure to switch your phone to silent mode before entering!

Get a seat in the Reading Room and marvel at the domed ceiling . The tables that sit out on the floor have power sockets for your Mac. Free wireless is mostly fast.

PRO TIP: Study hard, and then when your bum falls asleep from the wooden chairs, go for a walk around the room.

Take a break from your studies and head up to level 6 and the Shakespeare window. Breathtaking light and height!

Great view and surprisingly quiet

Make sure you visit the Dome Gallery . Level 4...via the lifts.

The trick here is to not get distracted by the amazing architecture .
