Obviously, you start and end the tour within the gift shop (but they have free water bottles); the actual warehouse is crazy big with workstations and actual decorations for so many different floats!!
Mardi Gras World truly immerses you in the spirit of Carnival with parade floats of all sizes and themes. Situated along the river it's a great view as well . MGW hosts the Buku Festival every March.
When they give you water at the beginning TAKE IT it is so humid but the tour was very interesting and educational

They have a free shuttle that stops at several hotels and places in the French Quarter and downtown.
Tried again this time and loved it. A nice selection of floats and props with a workshop too. There was an opportunity to dress up in costume too...
A must see when you visit New Orleans!!! Make sure to get a free piece of King Cake at the end of the tour . It's delicious!!! You can call for a free shuttle to get here.

Since 1947, the studio has been as much a part of Carnival as the parades . The studio produces floats & props for over 40 New Orleans parades as well as pageants around the world.

They don't accept Amex - found out after a 30 min walk in the sweltering heat (as our concierge seemed to think that the company has an issue with calling out the shuttles)
Make sure you take the free shuttle at the end of Canal St. Near the Hilton.

Not a bad concert venue but it clearly wasn't built for that. The acoustics are weak. Watch for pickpockets, they are pretty slick.
