Preservation Hall

Every music Lover who is visiting New Orleans has to go to the Preservation Hall. It is awesome!!! I went there twice and can do it again and again and again!!!

Fantastic venue, my favorite experience while visiting NOLA. Be sure to wait in line at least an hour before the concert . Real, classic, intimate , virtuous, musical experience. A must!

Get there at least an hour before on a Saturday night (earlier if you don't want to stand blindly in the back), they only let 100 people in per show. 45 min each and really fun & Interactive.

Maybe the best thing we did in New Orleans. Musicians are really amazing and the concept of Preservation Hall is just incredible. I would go back a thousand times to watch them play again.

A definite must visit on any visit to New Orleans. Think of a classic song for the group to play - and if they know it they’ll play it. And some crowd members sing from time to time.

Amazing! Location, music , atmosphere.. what i can say, no words.. is a must for jazz music . Try to get there early enough that you can get in the line the 10-20 first people

Even if you're not all that into jazz , you have to hit this spot! The bands are amazing! If you don't book seats several weeks in advance you might get a chance to stand in the back - totally worth it

This place is bare-bones, but it is completely part of the experience. The interior looks like it hasn't been touched in 50 years, the musicians are world-class, and the show is awesome. Go!!

It's a little crammed but great music . Just don't sit down at the very front cushions on the floor because then the instruments become one big noise on your face when they all play at the same time..

Such a cool intimate place. Be sure to go online ahead of time and get the VIP seats. No toilets . Be sure to go ahead of time. Show only lasts about a half an hour.

What a phenomenal place! Do not miss it. The space is small, so it's really worth it to buy VIP tickets online: no waiting in line , perfect seats, great music . Do this!

Awesome jazz music !! Tiny room, no bathroom or bar but the ambiance makes it worth the minor discomforts. Definitely worth checking out!

A must-do thing in New Orleans. But beware that there is no air conditioning , you might feel hot and stuffy in crowded people. I recommend reserving sitting tickets instead of standing.

Definitely get in line at least an hour ahead of time if it's a busy time of year. Pillows right up front are the way to go for seating.

Amazing jazz . Showtimes @ 5, 6, 8, 9 & 10pm nightly. Buy tickets at the door. TINY venue w/limited seating, so be sure to line up at least 30 minutes before showtime. Bring drinks (none sold inside).

They haven’t changed a thing since it opened— that means no AC , no bathroom , and no bar (bring your own). So just great jazz !

Don't miss this New Orleans classic. Pay for "Big Shot" seats in advance if you want great seats (I sat literally *with* the band), but be sure to go either way.

The origins of performances here go back to the start of the 1960s. There was no dance floor & no food or drinks served - the focus was just on the music . The only products sold were jazz recordings.

Big Shot tickets are not worth the money, they still put (a lot) people in front of you, which is uncomfortable. But music 's what matters and here is great.

Great Jazz music . The early shows are less crowded so the line is shorter

@History says it's origins go aaaaallll the way back to the 1960s. I'm quite sure it's way older than that. Nice fact checking there guys, kudos.
