Fun atmosphere , solid food, great prices. Cash only ! (Top of the stairs the right! There are two others next door and below, don't be fooled!)
Large groups file up the stairs to Panna II, waiting for seats at tables lit by strings of Christmas lights . Grüner veltliner and moderately sweet German rieslings would be fine pairings. Read more
Panna II = up the stairs and turn right. Milon = up the stairs and turn left.
The guys outside will battle each other for your business at this BYOB staple. Bargaining pro tip - ask them who will offer you a free appetizer . Winner winner, (curry ) chicken dinner .
Loved the chicken tikka musalom -not too spicy with a creamy sauce &the naan bread-served nice &hot. Also try the vegetable samosa ..so good.Nice little spot. Cool lights.Friendly staff.BYOB. cash only !
This place is so fun and food is amazing. Festive and fun music . Everyone is really nice too. Chicken tikka masala is amazing. Don't forget the garlic naan and samosas !
Food was great and the birthday entertainment, really good value for money . Just slightly small if there’s a big group of people. Great in small groups
Fun atmosphere , wild decorations, decent food and great prices. BYOB (wine , beer , liquor ) policy and it’s cash only
There's 4 Indian restaurants stacked here. They will bargain with you (to come to theirs) so come prepped on knowing what you want for free. Cheap , BYOB and chili lights ! (3 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
Delicious Indian food , but let's be real, you go here to feel like you're eating inside of a Christmas Tree
Great food, make sure to go upstairs to the right. Very crowded !
BYOB ! Also, if you're feeling adventurous, let them know its your friends birthday, even if its not ????
Bring a nice date and nice wind because the lights will give you a headache
Come here when it’s someone’s birthday and enjoy the special light show. Or just enjoy the kitchy atmosphere and the cheap Tandoori Chicken . BYOB !
Must see for out-of-towners, such a NY experience. The décor makes you feel like you are dining at a disco ball & its impossible to spend more than 20 even if you order soup , appetizer & entree. —Sara
One of the best Indian restaurants in the known universe . BYOB from the market next door with a very respectable beer selection . No reservations , small like a shoebox, and so awesome.
Get the samosas . Just do it. And drizzle on the sweet brown sauce and then go forth and live your best life...
If you go Friday at 8, expect to stand in line outside for a while. Don't let hustlers try to get you to go to the restaurant downstairs in the process. It's not the same.
If you didn't climb UP a flight of stairs to get here, you were duped into going to the wrong place. There's like 2 or 3 at the same location, although all pretty similar
This of all places in NYC to eat, is by far one of the top.5! Service was great, the food was delicious, and beautiful inside!
The food is excellent. Start with Mixed Appetizer and try Chicken Makhani after. You can bring your own drink!
Lots and lots of lights. Only thing you need to know is BYOB . Good for parties.
Bring your own alcohol ! Great for a cheap , late-night meal.
Fun place for group dinner . Not so spacious though lol. But definitely an interesting place to go with friends
Everything comes with lot of curry , the waitress are the very funny, they have curry too.
Tiny restaurant with great food and a very fun ambiance. Get here early because it does get really crowded quickly!
Just so ya know, it's BYOB ! Don't forget to bring your beer or wine
BYOB ! Super fun, good service , cheap food. What more could you want.
You can't beat it! The food is great! The prices are unreal! The decor... WAAAAY over the top! Staff is hilarious! You won't be disappointed!
The lights are neat and the overall atmosphere is fun but the food is absolutely horrendous. The samosas were basically knishes, no flavor at all. My paneer dish was burnt and flavorless as well .
"Milon and Panna II have been embroiled in a rivalry for over 20 years that has no end in sight... The feud can be summed up with one simple question: who came up with the idea for the lights?" Read more
Decent Indian food , but amazing place. Lights everywhere. Crazy and unique. BYOB .
Don't come here if you're prone to seizures. Else, come here every day. Because its the best place. In the world.
Best butter chicken in new york. Mango lassi is amazing too.
Come for the lights. Stay for the ice cream .
The servers rush you. Deadass took my plate AS I was picking up the last of my food.
It's not about the food. Came w a big group, waited 30mins+ for a table even though we booked ; given $40 set menu with no discussion & the food was atrocious. Yet we still had a great time!
BYOB ! a great place to go get drunk for cheap . Hit up one of the liquor stores along 1st avenue and head in here with a bunch of friends. Order many orders of chicken pakura, thank me later.
Foods all right but fun atmosphere ! Cash only .
Fun for Birthday dinners but if you want amazing Indian food , go to Dhaba on Lexington.
Such an incredible place! Order your food spicy , because it is SPICY .
This place is fantastic , its a great place to bring friends to have a festive dinner
Stop by the Spanish wine store first and pick up a bottle. Then be amused that every other table has the exact same bottle.
Prepare to be lied to, yelled at, and confused...it's awesome. Best way to order is to tell them what you like/don't like and let your waiter decide your fate.
BYOB ! The good is ok, you come here for the experience. Was helpful with gluten allergy.
Just...just go. The food is great, the staff is ridiculous, the lights will keep you amused for ages, and if you're lucky, you might even see a restaurant vs. restaurant brawl.
Workmanlike food but the huge cheap lunch special & over-the-top interior design (chili pepper decorative lights! A moghul tent for a dining room!) makes it all worthwhile.
Bring cash and ample libations!
It's not spacious , and when I went, a party of 14 sat next to my girl and me...lot of server ass bumping into our table. Food wasn't bad though. Good for quick bite
Pretty good. Ask about the pre fixe menu
Cheap, fun atmosphere, and great for pictures. Tikka Masala was superb. As others have stated, BYOB - Barron Roth
$10.95 lunch buffet is delicious and definitely more than worth the price. Naan, 2 kinds of rice, 3 veggie and 2 chicken options. Plus 5 chutneys! - Casey Schoonover
From the owners of Dhaba (best indian in NYC), this is the best restaurant on Curry row. Lots of coastal curries you won't normally find. The more spicy and coconut-y, the better. - Noah Weiss
Loved the dark beer, loved the light beer-- can't go wrong with your beer choice here - Tom M.
Just pure awesomeness.. got a Mezcal Old Fashioned and a regular. Both were amazing! Be there early if you want to get in without a wait! - Michael Reibel Boesen
