Yes yes, the Lost in Translation bar ... but also home to one of the best Old Fashioneds I've ever had. If you're hungry, skip the pizza and Just Do It with the $38 burger .
The iconic bar at the top of the Park Hyatt, Tokyo. Live music plays into the night and the views out of the window are incredible. The cocktails are great and there's a fantastic atmosphere.
Tokyo cliché. Everyone here is trying to get "lost in translation". Anyway, the views are to die for, the drinks are good and the live Jazz music is great. Not cheap but worth the extra $!
Catch a breathtaking view on the top of the world, food and live music are awesome - make sure you sit close to the glass walls . Enjoy night Tokyo here. Romantic dinner promises to be unforgettable????
If you are in Tokyo for any amount of time, this place is worth a visit. Astounding views of Tokyo surround the entire 52nd floor bar while a relaxing yet lively jazz band sings and plays great tunes !
Stunning view , with some wait and ¥2500 cover charge . Suntory Whiskey is top shelf and will set you back a fair amount, however, the LIT (Lost in Translation) cocktail is a delicious compromise.
Worth it just for the live music and the view . If you're staying at the hotel and there's a wait you can ask them to phone you in your room when your table is ready.
Incredible views , ask to be put on waitlist for tables infront of the windows if none available. 2000 ¥ cover charge after 8PM for jazz (which is great). Carnegie Hall cocktail for the win!!
The pork rib tortilla is amazing! It’s two taco-like with radish or wasabi but delicious! The New York cocktail with bourbon is a must in this place.
This place can be easily over crowded make sure you make a reservation to get a better seat near the window for the great view . They charge 2500 yen cover fee for jazz live.
Great cocktails and jazz music . View is amazing. But if you are only in Tokyo for a short while I would recommend checking out some more authentic spots.
In the cult classic Lost in Translation (2003), Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson strike up a friendship as two foreigners in bustling Tokyo. This includes talking over drinks at New York Bar . Read more
From 5 to 7 PM you can have a set with 2 drinks and a snack for 3200¥! All tables have a good view , but try to get lucky and get the ones close to the main window! Amazing view ! Worth every penny!
L.I.T. truly a delicious cocktail . Suntory Yamazaki truly a delicious whisky . I also had a Bloody Mary which was the best I've ever had, and it helped with the jet lag! :)
Come for the ¥6600 weekend brunch including a glass of champagne , an exquisite appetizer buffet , main course from menu & a buffet dessert bar . End with coffee . INCREDIBLE VIEWS. Bookings essential.
You will have the best view and atmosphere in Tokyo! Essential to get here early to have a good seat and watch the sunset (before 6pm depending on time of year).
Request to be put on the waiting list for the window seats if they aren't immediately available. Once there, enjoy the flashing red lights on top the buildings. They're the heartbeat of the city .
Great view , nice cocktail and romantic jazz carol was a really really perfact. I had a good time for my last happy Christmas in my 20s. THANX to New york bar !:)
I hated the movie , but my friend INSISTED I had to have a drink here while I was in Tokyo. The New York Bar exceeded my expectations in every way...Seriously one of the sexiest hotel bars in the world
Great place to relax and have drinks while enjoying a beautiful view of Tokyo . They play live music here. The L.I.T drink is super refreshing.
Yes it is a touristy thing to do. No you are not Bill Murray . But chin up, amazing cocktails , band and views . One of the great bars .
Beautiful view of the city scape. Love the live jazz music . Drinks are expensive but they give you bottomless rice cracker snacks ;)
best views in tokyo on top of the park hyatt hotel , live jazz after 8pm, small cover charge , but worth it. really nice ambience, and classy crowd and atmosphere.
Eater mag said: The view is one of the best in Tokyo. After 8 p.m. (7 p.m. on Sundays) ¥2,400 cover charge for the jazz performance , head to 42nd floor, with its central bamboo garden .
Duck fat potato fries , LIT martini and creme brûlée martini are good bets. Get here before 6:30 pm to get a prime window seat and watch the tokyo skyline light up before your eyes.
JAZZ . COCKTAILS. VIEW . I think the view is better than from Sky Tree . Atmosphere is magical, no wonder Sofia Coppola build the Lost in Translation movie around this bar .
That’s a supreme level of service. Together with live jazz and stunning view it brings exceptional experience
Throw caution to the wind; assume you'll spend north of 100 bucks a person on some drinks and snacks . Truly worth it for this special place.
Perfect place to enjoy a glass of old fashioned with jazz music .. Such an iconic bar indeed
Believe the hype - one of the best bars I went to in Tokyo. Great drinks, incredible view . There is a music charge after 8pm.
5/5. It's expensive , but you aren't surprised when the check comes. Easily one of the best bars of its kind in the world.
This is the best bar in the world IMO. Cover charge 8pm weekdays onwards and 7pm on weekends
Amazing views and the most delicious fresh cocktails ever. A must see in Tokyo!
Come before 8pm on Saturday to avoid the cover charge . Drinks are worth it with this killer view . There's also a mini private room for large groups (we got it with 14 and no rez!)
Amazing view , if you can find it after navigating the labyrinth that it took to get there (52nd floor).
Maybe you don’t care about Lost in Translation. That’s okay! The view is great, the drinks are impeccably made and the jazz is soothing.
Incredibly exspensive, but you hopefully already know that. The view is amazing, and the cocktails form a combination almost worth the price :)
This bar has an absolutely amazing view overlooking the Tokyo skyline, cool jazz , and great drinks. What's not to like!
Nice food, atmosphere and jazz trio. One of the best smoking areas in Tokyo.
Stunning view and classy ambience . Bring your significant other for an unforgettable night.
Atmosphere and the view is great here. That is what most people come here for. It is pricey but it is worth it.
Romantic af with a great view . They have live jazz later which requires a reservation . Great City view .
Great atmosphere! Without a doubt a memorable place in town with excellent drinks.
Amazing views and atmosphere, the Jazz is not bad either. There is a cover charge but who cares, really?
When you get back to the states , everyone will ask if you went here, so you have to go. Great drinks. OK food. Perfect views .
Iconic location with a very nice view over the city . Not cheap though so it's more for a quick stop than spending the whole night
Come at 5pm to beat the cover charge , grab a window seat , and enjoy the sunset view . Get a martini glass for the photo op.
The famed "Lost in Translation" bar . Free for hotel guests, charge of 2,200Yen after 8pm for non-guests. Order the L.I.T ("Lost in Translation") martini too (sake , Sakura Liqueur , Peachtree).
