A neighborhood favorite for a quick and inexpensive meal. There are only a couple of seats inside so be sure to get moving quickly if you snag one or even to take it up to the park and snag a bench .
7aram 3alek you left your friends at the bar for some delicious falafel , but it's kind of hard to feel bad when everything tastes so good.
Super spicy hot sauce . Try at your own risk. Make sure to order a baklava at the end to finish your meal on a high note!
Best Babaganough I haven't found anywhere else! I wish I could make the equivalent at home ...until then I Ill get it as a sandwich to eat right away and sometimes as plate to take home.
Mamoun's is legendary. One is able to overlook the decrepit, tiny interior because the authentic falafel and shawarma sandwiches are to die for. Perfect for lunch or dinner on the go.
The chicken kebab was a bit dry-- a great cheap eat though, get the platter! The tahini sauce is a must.
Cheap , filling and fast. Also, it's not too unhealthy. I love the baba ganouj but others swear by the falafel . For $3.50 each, try both.
One of the best falafel , hands down. Try out chicken kebab version as well . Don't be dissuaded by the long line - these guys have an exceptional turn around time.
Tried and true is a lamb shawarma sandwich from Mamoun's topped with their hot sauce — which is liquid masochism. Filled with so much pleasure, yet is almost equally painful. Read more
Falafel sandwich has never failed me in the 18 years I’ve been coming here. Bring cash. Use the hot sauce (with some caution).
I love mamoun's! Best beef shawarma around and the falafel is also excellent. Great place to come to late night after hitting up the bars in the area.
6 bucks for the falafel plate which is basically two sandwiches . So good. So cheap . Classic example of where even the meat eaters go veggie .
Even if you don't care much for falafel (I don't), their shawarma is out of this world. Go when they are not crazy busy and the meat is deliciously charred on the edges.
For less than $5, you’ll get a pita-full of schwarma , deliciously creamy baba ghannouj, and falafel that’s cooked just right (crunchy on the outside, fluffy and moist on the inside).
Yummy Eqyptian Middle Eastern restaurant in the heart of the Village . They have delicious falafel , chicken shwarma , hummus . The line is usually out the door because the prices are reasonable as well ..
You can do a full course meal here. Start with a side of babaganoush , then falafel or shawarma sandwich , a baklava and a cup of tea . 12 bucks on the outside.
the best shawarma sandwich i have ever had and i have had A LOT. half pocket fill so nothing falls from the bottom
Yada yada yada - if u don't know the falafel sandwich is the best in the city , where've u been for the past 15+ yrs? Don't sleep on the lentil soup . It'll change your life. Hot sauce all around...

NYC’s best cheap falafel costs $3.50. Also try the pita with baba ganouj or the shawarma sandwich . Careful with the spicy sauce !
Chicken Kebob sandwich and the hoy sauce on the side. Also falafel platter .
Small, tasty and veggie-friendly - falafel is the best thing to come from a chickpea . New Yorkers have certainly taken to these fried fritters , but if you're looking for the best, look no further. Read more
I can never decide between Shwarma or Falafel , but Hummus say they're both delicious.
Best Falafel you Should try it ????????????
There's always a queue but it moves pretty fast. And yes it's worth queuing for. Their falafel doesn't disappoint.
Love the falafels here. If you get the player don't get both hummos and baba . Portions are big and they are heavy! Cash only .
$3.50 for a delicious falafel sandy is one of the best deals in town
Tiny joint, cheap n decent. Baba ganoush a bit strange. Falafel is great. Next time will try the shawarma .
The chicken kabob and falafel sandwich combo is the BEST. Hope you like spicy ! Their sandwiches send you to flavor town .
Open late with delicious pita sandwiches to soak up all that dive bar liquor . Definitely try their fresh baba ganouj.
Shawarma and falafels were great. Good value for the quality of food. Meat is cooked very well , marinaded well .
It doesn't look like much, but it's some of the best falafel in town . Ignore the daunting line , it moves quickly.
Super good falafel . Great desserts too. Fast, fresh and tasty hole in the wall !! I love it!
Wow. Great place to get some falafel after bars close. Shawarma and lentil soup were fantastic as well . Cheap .
My favorite falafel place in NYC by far. Cheap , delicious, and open until 4 AM. Doesn't get much better. Cash only though.
Take a veggie/meat combo plate if you are really hungry. Hummus and baba-ghanoush are very delicious!
The best, but they've been slacking lately - none of the requested hot sauce OR hummus on my $4 (!) falafel and hummus pita the other evening :(
Amazing incredible unbelievable falafel ????
Oh hell yes. $3.50 Falafel sandwiches with salad and tahini . Small but nice vibes
Love their falafel sandwiches with extra white sauce and of course the spicy sauce (used very sparingly!)
Tiny place with basically no seating but the food is great! Go for the falafel of course!
Forget the falafel , baba ghanoush is so much more flavorful, saucy, eggplant goodness. This sandwich is a hot mess, you can't eat it delicately at all.
Not only is the Falafel the best in the city it is the perfect post drinking snack . Defiantly a must eat. 4 stars!
Can't go wrong with the sabich or falafel. Smoothies are pretty good too. - Lisa Rayle
