In the 1930s Nazi sympathizers built a refuge in the Pacific Palisades. Today the grounds of Murphy Ranch are uninhabited, dilapidated, covered in graffiti, and open to hikers.

Going on a side trail can be lots of fun, but you may have to walk all the way back if not adventurous enough to climb up some dirty paths! Overall cool hike with photo ops and an interesting history!
Hike up behind the heavily graffiti 'd power building to see a cool old silo. The round door at the base can be opened to peer inside.
Built in 1933, this compound was built as the community home for a group of Nazi sympathizers. Walk to the bottom of the concrete stairs until you reach a stream. Follow the stream to this house.
Not just for the graffiti ! There are some really incredible view here, too.
Be carful bringing dogs into the Power House, there is a lot of broken glass inside.
Walk down the dizzying steps to Hitler's bunker and take the road back up past the water tower to see the gates
Perfect for biking. Very easy/mild hike. If you are looking for a workout I would run the trail. It's also very scenic and serene. - T L
Take the stairs at the first chain fence for a strenuous hike. Go to the gate entrance for a more casual one. Driveway right to the barn, left to other ruins. - Ryan W
