I love hiking some of the trails on South Mountain . The one off 24th street is probably my favorite, but you will need someone strong to help you with some parts of it. The trail off Central too.

There are many hiking trails in the South Mountain area and they don't have much elevation gain. Perfect for families and desert scenery. Bring LOTS OF WATER and be mindful of the heat.

Devin Ward

Amazing views and a good range of trail lengths and difficulty.

Tons of hiking areas! This has got to be my favorite hiking spot. The mountain has a variety of hiking levels, both steep and hilly. The best spot - Desert Foothills Parkway and Desert Broom Way. - Shelby Staats
