I love hiking some of the trails on South Mountain . The one off 24th street is probably my favorite, but you will need someone strong to help you with some parts of it. The trail off Central too.
There are many hiking trails in the South Mountain area and they don't have much elevation gain. Perfect for families and desert scenery. Bring LOTS OF WATER and be mindful of the heat.
Amazing views and a good range of trail lengths and difficulty.
The trails are a great sight of phoenix at different points of the trails .
All the trails are fun, challenging and scenic .
Get here before 8 if you want parking !
Sometimes wondering off the trails can be more enjoyable, just don't get lost!
