Buy some food or drink with ca$h & support one of the last bastions of black culture on Divisidero. Ike + Tina Turner once worked up a sweat in the backroom, and now you don't have to, you lazy fool!
Ethiopian food + dive bar + politically friendly/neighborhood bar that has been in SF since I moved in 2003. Be sure to touch the wallpaper . Feels like old SF and is still a great place.
Make some jukebox picks and play a game of pool at this Ethiopian restaurant-cum-dive bar , notable for its excellent local beer selection , sultry bloodred wallpaper and cozy neighborhood vibe . Read more
Cash only , but the food is really good. Ethiopian food in a dive bar is an interesting combination. As others have mentioned, the wallpaper is awesome.
Aneighborhood dive bar that also happens to be an Ethiopian restaurant , should you want to chase your whiskey shot with injera .
Apparently, the vegetable combo is all-you-can-eat during happy hour (?). I'll have to try it out to confirm that and to see how it compares to Moya.
There's a small room with a table for two, before the back room, on the left - it can fit up to three large men
All you can eat veggie platter and honey wine . That's the tip.
Bring cash! Cash only bar . Great staff ! Friendly service !
A dope dive bar . Ethiopian food is dive bar quality, which is to say for the money it's good but not exactly gourmet.
grab a drink before the indy and eat some ethiopian food with your fingers!!! (lots more seating and pool table in the back...)
All u can eat veggie combo . Spices are weak though.
Wow..this place is a good deal with lots of inner space on slow days.
Great finger food, get huge plate for two! Authentic atmo.
Some of the stiffest drinks you can get in S.F.
Niviat is the best. Get on her good side though
Lydia is wonderful!
The wallpaper here is amazing!
Snakebite !!
Bar too crowded at Nopa...drink here first!

Fantastic venue, The acoustics are amazing, the layout is perfect, and the stage visibility is great from anywhere. - Listener Approved
Try the Moroccan vegetable Tagine, flatbread &baked polenta. We wouldn't leave until we finished the last bite! Food is phenomenal. Wine list as well; get a bottle of Littorai Pinot. Worth every penny - Roxy K
