Meridian Hill Park

Great Sunday drum circle , but there's always something else going on! The park is designed well , so there are more secluded places if you want to be alone, and more open spots if you're in a group!

A very large park by DC standards with an upper and lower area connected by a staircase. Come in warm months to see the waterfall fountain . Some cool statues including a neat one of Joan of Arc.

Every Sunday afternoon, weather permitting, starting around 3pm, men and women of all ages and ethnicities gather for an hours-long impromptu jam session. Anyone can participate. Read more

Great park with trees , benches , statues , and steps! The NPS needs to clean it up a little and fix the fountain .

The drum group that gets together every week is fantastic! Big props to all those locals who keep this fantastic tradition going! You need to check it out!

This park has a sad, haunting beauty. It could be much more than it is. The layout and fountains are pretty and pleasing to the eye. The human and dog feces are a reminder that this is no urban oasis.

Perhaps the best park in DC. Also, it's fun to watch teenagers skateboard in the waterfall during winter.

What a perfect park - it feels like you are meandering in the outskirts of Prague!!! Also, in the summer they have Sunday afternoon drum circles !

Go in the spring/summer for the great drum circle . Nice view of the nation's capital. Nice place in the city for a picnic .Waterfall and fountain is unique.
