Great Sunday drum circle , but there's always something else going on! The park is designed well , so there are more secluded places if you want to be alone, and more open spots if you're in a group!
A very large park by DC standards with an upper and lower area connected by a staircase. Come in warm months to see the waterfall fountain . Some cool statues including a neat one of Joan of Arc.
Every Sunday afternoon, weather permitting, starting around 3pm, men and women of all ages and ethnicities gather for an hours-long impromptu jam session. Anyone can participate. Read more

This park has a sad, haunting beauty. It could be much more than it is. The layout and fountains are pretty and pleasing to the eye. The human and dog feces are a reminder that this is no urban oasis.
Perhaps the best park in DC. Also, it's fun to watch teenagers skateboard in the waterfall during winter.
