Malo

Malo is a well thought out restaurant with an impressive menu. The margaritas as fresh and not full of artificial stuff. The guacamole and empanadas are outstanding. I look forward to many visits!

First time ever trying the chicken and waffles . The waffle was light and flakey the chicken was breaded lite and juicy..In short the combo is just amazing with the syrup one of the best meals ever

George Formaro does it again. All 8 people in our party LOVED their lunch . One plans to go back this weekend to try something else from the menu. Lunch was not at all pricey , quality was outstanding.

I got a veggie , a chili relleno , and a carnitas taco . Carnitas was my favorite, but all were good! Corn tortillas made them messy to eat so I wouldn't order that on a first date or business meeting.

Love the tacos at Malo! My personal favorites are the chorizo and chipotle shrimp . Comic book lovers: head next door to Capes Kafé after your meal.

Can't go wrong with Al Pastor Tacos and jalapeño creamed corn and it's pretty cool that we get to eat where the fire trucks were parked for many years.

Oh my gato! The sangria is the best I've ever had! Once again proof that bad is really good. Love Malo!

Pumpkin seed encrusted chicken is fabulous. Skirt steak off the wood fire grilled was not great ( a little chewy). Good apps.

Try a mix of different tacos ! I had 3 types and all were great! Excellent value

Dos Pescados : Best fish tacos in Des Moines. I've tried every one I could find. This is it.

Chicken enchiladas are the best I've ever had, it's the only thing that I ever have.

Chips and salsa are to die for, and don't be afraid to order two tacos or ten.

Get the Churritos. It's all about the chocolate sauce.

The tacos might be small but they are loaded. Two go a long way. Service tends to take awhile so don't bank on a quick meal .
