If you're just passing through the park , driving to somewhere else, you don't need to buy a pass. From Calgary to points West, stay to the far right and bypass the booths .
If you're driving through Banff, stay on the right lanes to skip the admission gates.
Check google maps for traffic and go early so you wont have to wait a long line for the park pass . Three left lanes are for the pass purchase, take care that one of them closes all of a sudden
Last year’s (2020) season passes were extended by 4 months due to COVID restrictions.
Don't buy a parks pass if your just parking in Downtown Banff. Only if your going to park at sightseeing locations.
Make sure you buy a National Park pass . Support the important work of Parks Canada ...since the Harper government doesn't!
If you're not stopping in the park , keep right.
