Warren Dunes State Park

Even when the beaches are crowded , the deeply wooded trails through the park are secluded and peaceful . Mt Randall Trail can be done easily in an hour, round-trip from the NW of the beach parking lot .

Absolutely gorgeous state park . I love the combination of forest , sand dunes , and the lake . The sand dune is a little hard to hike up but we’ll worth it for the view !

Do the dune hike and check out what's around it, this is the best beach to go to in southwest Michigan ! Clean water and sandy beaches !

$9 entrance (per car) for a big & busy beach and a formidable dune that you can see Chicago from on a clear day

You must purchase a day pass to enter. It's $9 - $17 depending on your state residency and whether or not you're driving a commercial vehicle.

Beware- the biting flies are FIERCE in the summer months . Otherwise, very enjoyable!

there's a serious dune mountain here overlooking a long beautiful beach with ample parking .

Make sure you check it out in the winter time. When the waves freeze over, they make for an awesome sight.

not the best place if you're looking for privacy or seclusion, but it's a decent getaway from Chicago for a weekend. just wish they'd let people on the dunes at night.

Head out to the sandbar to watch the sunset over the lake . It's beautiful :-)

Heaven. Hike thru dunes, swim all day, nap on the beach , food over campfires at night, sleep under stars. Rinse and repeat

I was not impressed. The water was very dirty and the trash around the park itself made me upset. What was once a beautiful beach is falling apart

No alcohol prohibited. Also some of the rangers act tough and need to relax
