Come here before the Opera and enjoy a Dim Sum Dinner - one of the only places that serves it at night! Make sure you get the pork bun , star dumpling and taro pancake .
This is an old school classic. You come here for the performance element--get Peking duck or come for the OG General Tso's but not for something new and exciting.
"Dine in — as decorative red-eyed monkeys watch you clean your plate — or out — the restaurant provides plates, sauces, chopsticks, fortunes cookies , even dessert (candied pecans )."
If you love chinese food you should definetely go to this place. Duck egg rolls , sea bass & scallops are delicious. And a good wine selection .
this place is good! away with the 7.8! plus we saw da ladies of haim eating there! whoop whoop
Very good general tsos chicken (all white meat) and vegetable fried rice
I have been going here for years, great Peking Duck - I love the monkeys & dragons in the main dining room with their evil red eyes! grand manier prawns rich & yum!
Great lunch . The special is worth it. Hot and sour soup . Crispy Beef . Pineapple
sauteed dried string beans are delicious. a nice, slightly burned, texture and some good strong seasonings (garlic ?). I ate every one.
The cafe is a good neighborhood spot for Chinese / dim sum , although a bit expensive . There is also the more formal version of the restaurant next door.
My favorite place for takeout and delivery . Sea bass filet and grand mariner shrimp are so savory and delicious, absolutely melts in your mouth.
The food and service are really good but don’t come in the winter. The only source of heat seems to be a small space heater
Classic 70's Chinese dining. If you want to know what Chinese food was like before America got authentic Chinese food , this is the place.
Great for after Opera activity. Best crispy beef ever!
Excellent food and our server, Yap, was amazing making excellent recommendations.
Whole fried fish is yummy, just watch for bones
Order the green tea to start. Everything will be 20x more delicious than you would ever expect.
My goto place for some quality dimsum anytime of day - yes, they serve it even at night! And their Peking duck is delicious too!
A new favorite. Food, decor, staff in cafe ...so amazing. Get the duck flat noodles ,
Grand marnier prawns great tasting but rich. Chan do chicken fine but nothing unusually special. Heavenly fillet and noodles sorta msg-ish. But great decor and overall the food was fine.
Many excellent dishes, but the pea shoots and shrimp dumplings - wow!
The Chinese restaurant near Lincoln Center has a cult following for its dragon-themed decor and always-tasty dishes.
Grand Marnier shrimp and pillowy mu shu make for an elegant pre-Lincoln Center meal best taken with martinis and friends.
Do not miss the Beijing duck - order it as an appetizer if not your main !
Get some dim sum , peeking duck , chan-do chicken and some heavenly fish filet . Toss some garlic string beans into the mix...Thank me later.
Go for the cafe over the restaurant - cheaper and better dim sum
Chicken soong. Peking duck . Done.
Great interior atmosphere except the hanging dragon.
A bit on the expensive side. The sesame chicken is unique
Pork dumplings . Peking duck and scallion pancakes ????
Went for the novelty based on the general Tso documentary . Way overpriced but good was decent and plentiful. Also not the original location!
If you haven't ordered yet... RUN while you can. Their manager, wait stuff and overall customer service will leave you so dissatisfied, it will make for an overall bad meal. Never eat when you're mad
Grand Marnier Shrimp ... plump and succulent... excellent decor, elegant and dark. 43 W 65th St. with a dim sum next door.
Dry shredded beef . It's stunning. Do it.
Come for express lunch 3 course pre fixe $25, great choices
Great food!! Definitely try the duck !
Great tradition. I feel like I'm in a Woody Allen movie !
Bill Telepan, chef of Telepan, eats here on his nights off. He loves the Beijing Duck . Read more
Upscale Chinese. Great food.
Amazing. The dim sum is where it's at.
best peking duck i've ever had.
Expensive but delicious
Shun Lee West, once a favorite- never again. ‘Peking’ Beijing Duck was horrid. Barely warmed, tasteless, dry. Rubbery pancakes . Tepid too thick plum sauce . Quartered scallion skins stuck in throat.
Wayyy too expensive for dim sum ... but I guess it’s those city prices.
Don't miss the sour cream apple pie .
Shrimp dumplings steamed are excellent.
Food is excellent but it's way too expensive !
Best stop before Lincoln Ctr. Go to the cafe for dim sum !
Pork dumplings are good but service is strange in the main dining room .
Don't get the dry shredded crispy beef !
Pork buns are simple and awesome here. If you're adventurous try the jalapeño poppers - they aren't too spicy! - Chip Perro
A high-end Chinese eatery with traditional and classic dishes. We find this elegant and fancy setting to be absolutely wonderful! The staff is always attentive, and we love ordering the orange beef. - Douglas Elliman
Nicely decorated restaurant and amazing Peking duck. Get the duck if you come here!! It's so good. - Monica
Phantastic theatre, amazing stage, I loved the Overall experience! - Dirk Wittenberg
