This place is BIG! And with trails with a lot of tree coverage, it's a good place to go when it's super sunny out. Also great place to picnic . Plan to spend some time as there is an entrance fee.

Up in the mountains between I280 and Skyline Blvd . There are hiking trails and picnic areas and lots of large Redwood trees . Great views too!

Great picnic areas in the Miwok area. Can't go wrong with spending a day here... well worth $6 to support a local park !

Tobias Schmidt

Lots of barbecue areas and a few nice trails . Neither quite as nice as some of the alternatives closeby

If you plan to grill meat be aware this place is full of wasps that will make your life miserable. This happened in Madrone picnic area in September.

Great place to tralier in horses...but be careful around Toyon group camp. It can get a little nuts back there for the horses. Read more
