This is hands down the best sushi I've had in queens, and easily some of the best in nyc. They also fly in fish from Japan which is nice.

Kondo is a hidden gem in Astoria. Both chef and staff are Japanese, which is why they are good. Highly recommend the octopus carpaccio and the ikura don. Notice they are very generous with the ikura !

Tony Xerri

Exceptional! The Chef Sushi combo took me back to Tsukiji and the scallop/shitake aioli appetizer was delicious. Fried tofu is always a winner here as well !

Gabriel Chung

Very high quality sushi and food. Average to bad presentation, decor and service. I recommend getting any sushi or sashimi , the fried chicken , and the green tea parfait .

Kathleen Yanolatos

By far the best sushi in Astoria. Get the parfait for dessert .

Sarit

Best sushi in town . Beautiful fish masterfully cut and presented.

George Vesa

All the specials for the day were excellent along with other dishes we had.

The octopus was good but portion was tiny. Sashimi was sooo fresh! Also the unagi don is amazing.

Understated and simple, Mochiron serves some of the best Japanese and Korean food I've had in the past ten years in NYC. Try all the yakitori and the kimchi jjigae (stew). - P Q
