I dismissed the "on toast " section at first... don't. The beef tartare on toast great and I'm sure the other toast dishes are equally as enjoyable.
The easy vibe at Vernick make it one of those rare restaurants that can suit so many things: dinner with food-snob friends, cocktails with a gal pal, a meal with the non-adventurous in-laws.
“We started baking baby artichokes in terra-cotta cazuelas, which can sustain very high temperatures. The vegetables melt in their own juices , with white wine , butter, and garlic .” Chef Greg Vernick Read more

Everything was awesome here. Highly recommend the mixto ceviche and the beef tartare . Even the brownie ala mode was amazing. Service was top notch as well . I'll definitely be back.
Caleb (manager) is awesome and gives great recs. Check out open kitchen in back. Raw bar is on point. Highlights: uni/eggs, arctic char . 👌 👌
the parmesan custard was both the weirdest and the most delightful dish I've had in a long time. and ditto to the blueberry pie . also, the bartender (and her sazerac ) was a treat.
This Jean Georges Alum's debut restaurant will certainly be the first of many great spots by Chef/Owner Greg Vernick . Sit at the gorgeous bar and enjoy one of Vincent Stipo's amazing cocktails
The blueberry pie is a godly thing. I have literally never tasted anything so good. Highly highly recommend EVERYTHING in this restaurant .
Chef Greg's menu is a carefully crafted labor of love, aptly conveyed through the inspired cuisine at Vernick. Reserve seats at the chef 's counter and watch in awe as the chefs prepare your meal!
Great service. The parmesan custard small plate was very unique and delicious. Try the milk punch dessert cocktail !!
Not a single bad dish on the menu. Get the uni, white cod , steak tartare , porchetta , mussels , and veal . Or anything really. You can't go wrong.
Steak tartare toast is unexpectedly good with shaved parmesan . Thai snapper special entree is worth trying but on the salty side. Uni scramble tastes like it sounds - sea flavor, scrambled egg texture
all the toast , all the vegetables AND HOLY GOD GET THE BLUEBERRY PIE IF YOU LIKE YOURSELF EVEN SLIGHTLY
Loved the octopus and the Panna cotta was amazing. Everything else was way too salty for me.
Grilled romaine with aged cheddar and figs . Best lettuce anyone has ever had in their lives. About me: I don't believe in hyperboles.
Ummm... If you haven't been here you're missing out. On life. The kitchen sends out delightful and surprising dishes that sound just as good as they taste. Fu€&!ng delicious
One of Rittenhouse's newest restaurants . Vernick is great if you can get a reservation for dinner - but is also a nice spot for pre-dinner drinks at the bar .
Great dinner , definitely get the beef tartare toast , lemongrass cod and date cake with orange toffee and coconut sorbet !
Hands down, best restaurant in philly. Sea urchin with warm scrambled eggs , home-made mozzarella , and chicken liver toast are amazing

Sit at the bar , order the whole menu :-) Dessert is a generously shareable portion.
Don't miss the Chili-Glazed Octopus or the Artic Char with Crispy Skin and Dill .
A little over-hyped. Very small menu and not many options if you don't eat meat. The appetizers and small plates are very small and over-priced. Share the seafood/shellfish roast, it's worth the price
The chicken is incredible.
Must try the grilled romaine small plate . Absolutely delicious!!
Tuna poke was phenomenal!! Bass with roasted tomato sauce also excellent
