Read that "Philadelphia eats here" and decided to go. Very good place, cool prices and tasty food. Try the Grilled chicken cobb salad with blue cheese , it's awesome!
Diner-style food, a little nicer than average, with an admirable selection of beers (for a place that’s not a craft beer joint). We enjoyed our vegetable capellini & chicken cobb salad
Ate here on a Friday night, it wasn't too busy even though we still made a reservation . Cheesesteak wonton appetizer was delicious! Asked to split two plates and they were still big portions !
Don't be afraid to bring your kids! No one will complain! The menu here (featuring the mini version of their nearly famous matzoh ball soup ), offers more than your average burger/pizza/chicken nugget. Read more
Great place for a casual lunch or dinner with friends lots of healthy and non healthy options to choose from! The 'control freak salad ' is everything!
the salmon burger with sweet potato fries was one of the best meals I have ever had. definitely will be ordering again.
Try the Marathon Fries . The home fries with everything. Instant addiction for myself and everyone I know who's tried them.
Go here for brunch ! You'll find eggs on a croissant with bacon , Gouda and apple ; whole wheat apple-cinnamon pancakes ; and lots and lots of coffee . Read more
I used to mix this restaurant with shake shack. Good service that I never expected. The waitress know she should bring salt and pepper together, two straws if you order juice . Pay 20% tip for good.
You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. The Marathon Breakfast is as good as it sounds but do not expect to finish it in one sitting.
Great selection and fresh food . The smoked salmon omelet is delicious. Their coffee is local too!
The Rioja wine a rare find. Pay the $10 because it is more interesting than Merlot , Chardonnay , and Pinot .
Great atmosphere....try the southwest salad (yummy), only downside is poor customer service from the servers!!!
Nice simple brunch spot just off Rittenhouse. Good back up plan if Parc is too pricey and Day by Day is full or has a long wait .
Like this place. Had the blackened chicken , swapped out the provolone for white cheddar . And it comes with hand cut fries .
The pint-sized happy hour offers a half-off kids menu with options like matzoh ball soup with chicken and veggies and peanut butter and jelly on whole wheat bread . (M-F 5-6PM) Read more
The banana brioche French toast is amazing. With a side of turkey sausage , such a filling and yummy breakfast .
Pretty hipstery place. Good food, great smoothies , service is friendly but a little alow
The espresso smoothie is delish! The whole wheat banana pancakes were great, as was the bacon , Swiss, tomato omelette . The turkey sausage was a dry, so avoid.
Really amazing buffalo chicken sandwich . They include shredded celery and carrots on it!
The smoked salmon eggs benedict was pretty good. Highly suggest the bloody mary .
Turn over the menu. The front side is good but the back opens up a whole new world.
Try the marathon burger with a Yards pale ale .
Go with the Control Freak salad . There are tons of great toppings to choose from!
Menu is large. Almond and buckwheat pancakes where bomb yo.
They're food is great and inexpensive for being locally grown !
Try the vanilla milkshake .
The Banana Bread French Toast is to die for!
Good neighborhood restaurant . Cobb salad is tasty
The grilled veggie salad is amazing! Best salad I ever had!
Love a good Bloody Mary ? You may be surprised to learn that this Marathon adds the perfect amount of horseradish .
The spruce salad special with salmon was fantastic!
$5 house wine and margaritas for happy hour , but it took forever to get my salad and they gave me the wrong change.
Reasonably priced, delicious, and accessible.
Great on hot days.
Most perfectly poached eggs I've ever had!
Great sandwiches and entrees.
Get the marathon homefries with ham , peppers , onions , and gruyere . Try subbing cheddar or adding Tabasco for a little extra spice! Bit marathon homefries are delicious!
The marathon burger is the best thing to get. You will not be sorry!!
Ask for Jay. He will definitely take care of you. He's also the drink keeper.
It was wonderful. Our salads were delicious.
The Banana /almond pancakes are bang'n! - Main Line Today Magazine
Chicken pot pie was simple yet delicioso!
Mmm- Chicken Cobb salad is the best! Get it with Caesar dressing !
Better to go to the Marathon on broad & chestnut street in the morning if you want take out . The morning service @ this location is slow.
Grass fed beef and free range eggs for a good Paleo brunch .
Ask to sit in ladybug's section...he's the best server ever!! But don't tip him buahahaha
They serve La Fin Du Monde and have amazing Mac n Cheese !
Be mindful of when they'd charge credit cards. Make sure they do the correct amount. Honest mistake, just be mindful
