Best tendon in NJ. It’s not as good as their original location in Tokyo tho. The tempura is noticeably more oily here. My go to is the chicken or shrimp tendon . At $10-$15, it’s a great value !
Excellent tempura place for a food court . They fry in sesame oil . I love the tempura egg w/ runny yolk - add a silky element that contrasts well with the crunch of tempura .
Really good tempura ! The Edomae is basically eel tempura with the rest of the works. The boiled egg is a really nice touch too!
The difference between the combos is literally (1) everything in a bowl together; or (2) you get the ingredients separated onto a plate and extra bowl ... for $0.50 more.
The real taste of Tokyo - 江戸前天丼 (Edomae Tendon ) - Highly recommended, definitely try at least once. It's a signature not to be passed along!
As good as kaneko in Tokyo . Best tempura you can find in the tri-state.
Tempura shrimp are exceptional. Seriously! The amount of food is small unless you eat all the rice order two meals or ala carte. Wait can be quite long.
Soba noodles are on the thick end. The soft boiled eggs is worth getting
Over battered tempura . Good takoyaki (for the East Coast)
Amazing flavor on all their tempura
The Edomae tendon plate is simply the best
awful. only whitefish was decent but the quality of Mitsuwa has gone downhill quick
My favorite flavor was hoji-cha (roasted green tea). It's like a milder, toastier matcha. Still, I'd recommend getting a waffle bowl so you can try other flavors, too. - Emily Wilson
They seem to always be running out of food. I wanted to get the karage but they ran out! I ended up getting the cutlet and it was really good! - 💎T
chicken teriyaki is delicious! the chicken is really tender and the teriyaki sauce is perfectly sweet - jen chang
The store in NYC is larger, has more selection and variety, and is cheaper. This store disappoints. - PSU-Lion Di
Next to the customer service counter inside the Mitsuwa Market. Best when eaten straight off the burner. Buy 5, get 1 Free (get a mixture of offerings). The taiyaki and creamyaki are the best! - Tom
