Honest lawyer IPA is a true west coast style microbrew . Much appreciated from a Seattle girl!!! Do it! Also the ham and potato soup is amazing! No processed anything... Made from scratch. Yumm
Sweet potato and crab bisque amazing! (soup of the day) Stone Brewery 's Greg Koch made it here, you know it's a winner. Great service and a perfect slice of middle America.
First time back after several years...great service (Thank you Stephanie), great meal, and super great downtown Des Moines atmosphere, oh and really, great beer , try the 21st Amendment Ale , WOW!
Loved the Honest Lawyer IPA ! Just grabbed a couple beers and watched NFL football at the bar . Nice bartender , pleasant dark wood bar with dim lighting . Just our style!
All their drinks with ginger beer which they brew themselves! My favorite place in Des Moines !
Great Food and Decent Beers , its a solid combination!! Get the Pot Roast Dinner , it's incredibly delicious!! Not the Best Beers but the 21st Amendment was probably my Favorite, try their Seasonals.
Food is really great. Nice atmosphere to visit with friends. Feels very relaxed.
Try the Belgian white, a refreshing wheat beer that’s brewed with coriander and curacao orange peel which results in a fruity and refreshing brew. Read more
Stopped here for a cocktail and dessert : Red's Rye and the Ginger Beerchetta. Good ginger beer pairing I think.
Impress your friends with this fun fact: You're in the Saddlery Building, Des Moines' most wired structure - due to all the infrastructure (fiber ) built in by Dice.com when it was their headquarters.
Oh man, their creole Jambalaya with corn bread is one of my favorites on Court Avenue. Some like it Hot!
Dinner & a show. Head on over to Nitefall on the River , located at Simon Estes Amphitheater to see great live music . Slightly Stoopid & Atmosphere perform 8/4.
Great service...Great beers ...but stay away from the Jambalaya if you are at all familiar with real Louisiana cuisine!
Highly recommend 21st Amendment ale . Very drinkable. Jambalaya is good, but not nearly as spicy as they think. It is Iowa spicy , which translates to medium at best.
Ask Jake for their "finest Pineapple Expess" and you get it in a flute instead of a shot glass
Have to suggest the margarita pizza its amazing, also take part in the mug club its a great deal and try the muscat mule .

Good location and food. They cook the steak a bit on the high side. Med Rare came in closer to Medium for me.
Check out the 10th Annual Court District Halloween Party on Oct. 26th 2012 from 8-Midnight. Costume contest, live music , DJ's and $3 Coors Light specials at all the participating venues.
Some of the best wings in Des Moines. Also, try some of the different Moscow Mules . They are all pretty tasty.
They have a good tasting option to try all their brews, but be warned, their idea of a "tasting portion" is pretty hefty. It's best if you have someone to share with.
Burger with slaw and mac & cheese was a good choice. Nice atmosphere.
Take advantage of $5 pizzas from 11pm - 12am on Thursdays and Fridays. A great deal for gourmet pizza !
Andrea is the best server I've had at any restaurant . Very friendly , prompt, knowledgeable about the brews and menu items.
The Black and Tan Reuben is delicious, it pairs nicely with all the brews they have on tap .
Great lunch if you come before 11:30 1/2 price lunch !
Try the vegetarian burrito with portabella mushroom ! It's wonderfully healthy, filling and vegetarian friendly !
Great kids menu !! They offer a wide variety of main and side dishes. The Wikki-Stix are a bonus too. My 4 year-old begs to eat here.
Loved the beer flight gives you a chance to sample a little bit of everything.
I eat the Colossus Salad like it's my job...hummus , falafel , pita points, mixed greens, cucumber greek dressing . DELISH.
Get the pretzels and the beer flight , you're welcome.
Try the Bacon Wrapped Sirloin - Bacon wrapped sirloin with onions & mushrooms on Texas toast .
Wings are great, word of caution if you order a White Russian it's gonna be strong as hell.. #too much vodka
Beer and pizza and they make s pretty good the Manhatten
Jambalaya best in the US and I travel South all the time! Warning: hot is hot...
The wings are sprinkled with Parmesan !
Cool music !! Lovely atmosphere, also try the Roudon! Hope that's how you spell it:)
The appetizers are large... perfect for a table to share.
If you come here you have to try one of the beers !
Pizza , wings , and their root beer are my go tos.
Great gluten free menu . The staff is wonderful and will help you meet dietary restrictions with ease.
The Wonton Cookies - chocolate chip cookie dough in a fried wonton with powdered sugar and chocolate sauce - are a sweet way to end a meal (and just $1.99).
In this area, I highly recommend: Liar's Club, Vaudeville Mews, Surf Shack, and Fong's Pizza .
Taco pizza finished with the wonton cookies - now that's a meal!
The Brews are wonderful!
Craft beers . Appetizer deals
Sunday fun day wings is a great deal!
Come on out to Juice 's Costume Contest tonight from 9-11 p.m.
The sampler rack is worth every penny, especially if this is your first visit.
Try the BlackHawk Stout 100% nitro, it's delicious!
Delicious beer, my favorite local spot, watch for food trucks in front, and accessible from the bike path. - Robbie Helzer
The meat sticks are amazingly simple, yet so delicious. Try them for an app. The seasonal Isabelle is a great brew. - Ross Hesseltine
Best venue in Iowa period! Try to get as close as you can to the front, it makes the experience even better, you feel so immersed! - Austin Westermann
Everything about this place is great: the food, the boot, and thru atmosphere. - Mike Henneberry
I've enjoyed fish and chips across England & Ireland. The fish and chips here are quite good; easily the best I've had in the States. - Jody
