Slight step below O Ya, but w/better cocktails . Don't miss the Ika (w/smoked beef drippings), Hon Hamachi Toro (w/pork belly), and Spicy Tuna & Foie Gras Tataki. Tako in hot oil was great, tender.
Not your typical sushi spot : Great gourmet sushis . Even sitting at the bar is very intimate and perfect way to enjoy the delicately prepared sushi and sashimi . ????
Oyster with oxalis, melon and Darjeeling: Sashimi chef Tony Messina uses West coast oysters , preferably Kusshi, Kumamoto or Shigoku, for this preparation, which he insists is simpler than it sounds. Read more
From the minute you walk in the door friendly smiling welcoming staff from chef to hostess - genuine hospitality which is rare and to be envied plus ramen is incredible
Have to get this lobster . And a side of Brussels sprouts . But honestly everything is amazing. A real treat
Much better than it is rated. The omikase is much better than O Ya's, and at a discounted price. They recently expanded their space and it looks great! Highly recommended
Late night ramen from 11pm-2am Thursday - Saturday. Get there before they stop serving cocktails at 1am. Get something from the "Mad Scientist" section of the drink menu by mixologist Todd Maul.
This place blew me away. Get the chicken & (macha) waffle and dine in Southern / Japanese paradise.
Think long, rectangular plates holding tissue-thin slices of raw seafood dressed with seasonal fruits , vegetables , herbs, and esoteric ingredients, like Korean pepper threads. Read more
So good - absolute musts are the shishito peppers , popcorn shrimp , and foie grad unagi ❤️
Late night ramen starts @ 11pm and its good ramen ! Ramen was $10. :D they have umami or traditional. I'd recommend! I also tried the pork bun but the bun wasn't really soft. It's alright.
The food is fresh and amazing. The chefs put their heart into the food and it shows. Try the chefs omakase and late night ramen .
Late night ramen is amazing. The pork bun comes with a glorious fried piece of pork belly in it.
(Best of Boston 2013-SUSHI) Improper Bostonian says, "Not your average sushi joint , unless average means sashimi so bejeweled and breathtaking that you'd never dream of soiling it with Kikkoman."
The Chiang Mai duck carnitas are on my bucket list and they should be on yours too.
pork buns , shishito peppers , sashimi and drinks are awesome!! <3 them! unfortunately ramen is not. my veggie ramen broth was so salty and this comes from someone who likes salt.
The spoonful is amazing. Also, try the tostadas !
the tuna ceviche is amazing! you can order it even if it's not on the menu .
On Thursday - Saturday come for late-night ramen and the best craft cocktails in Boston.
Authentic sushi . The salmon and tuna nigri pieces just melt in your mouth...
Best omakase in Boston. And, late night ramen is divine!
Fois gras and spicy on the tuna Sashimi was overwhelming. Toro nigiri was poorly cut (chewy membranes). Outside seating was extremely cold. Not what I expected for a $150 meal for one person.
Everything we ordered was delicious!
By far the best Japanese food in Boston -- much BETTER than Oya
Despite being part of the popular Ken Oringer restaurant club, this tiny sashimi bar in the Eliot Hotel still feels like a secret. Read more
The $16 Uni spoon is worth every penny ????
Try the ox tail .
One of the best in the US. ALWAYS let Chef choose. Amazing.
It's no ippudo but the ramen is pretty good. The pork buns are awesome. Wish the portions were larger.
Lobster fried rice was amazing!

Saké Day! Come celebrate with a glass of saké on us with dinner when you check in.
I'm over this place. Good food but wait is too long. Servers are disorganized and messed up our order. Second time it's happened in two times.
Top secret: late night ramen !
Bathrooms have Xlerators. At these prices I expect a Dyson Airblade.
Great restaurant playlist, even better sushi. Try the yellowfin truffle maki and avocado ball. - Sonia S
Get the omakase. But if you're going a la carte, standouts are the hamachi w/banana pepper mousse, foie gras nigiri, tea-brined pork rib, onsen egg... everything is fantastic really. - Chris E
Brunch is the best meal here. Quiche, Eggs Benedict, and the Huevos Tortilla are your best bets! - Yera Ha
