Big soup selection with free tastes, salad station with tons of ingredients to get exactly what you like, and a yummy array of sandwiches , non of which is "ho hum". Outside seating when warm enough.
The soup is wonderful
Iced cappuccino is delicious and the $1.25 small coffee is one of the best deals in the city
Paninis , salads , fresh soup , everything!
Hard working and very nice staff / be sure to leave tips in the tip jar for them. More than just spare change!
Fantastic service with hardworking employees. Love the blackened chicken sandwich and pasta salad !
Selection - solid. Visuals - delicious. Taste - under seasoned.
The sandwiches , cookies and cupcakes are all nice.
Good egg salad and okay sandwiches .
Delicious and so many choices. Definitely your dc power lunch
Best soup selection and taste in DC. Comes with a free chunk of whole wheat roll!
Salads are good but can get pricy .
At $3.50, the bagel / large coffee combo is a full dollar less than Au Bon Pain. Better too.
Great Cuban pressed sandwich .
Tasty food, but something always seems wrong. The menu is useless for custom sandwiches , they tell you one price when you ask then change it after you get your order. Bad customer experience.
Go early to beat the lunch rush...
Catering for lunch was ok. Preferred Washington Deli 's sandwiches and they provided more for less cost. This place screwed up order. Would not order from here again.
Best chili around!
Amazing soup , but come early.
Delicious beef chili , and free hunk of sourdough with all soups .
They have only basic coffees :.(
Split pea soup with massive chunks of ham . Delicious.
MD crab soup , to die for.
blackened chicken sandwich = to die for
It's a zoo at lunch but the food is good
Get the lentil soup .
Do the one in Foggy instead
Terrible ordering system; they always give away people's food to the wrong customer. Avoid whenever possible (especially peak lunch hrs)
Overpriced; give this place a wide berth
Can't go wrong with a Phillips sandwich. All the meat is carved right before your eyes. - Maxwell Z
Good value for sandwiches. The Skinny is actually pretty big - Russell Caluri
Try the veggie omelet for breakfast. And don't forget to add ham. - Patience Peabody
Beautiful statues and sculptures with historical context provided. People were walking around or laying down on their breaks. It was a nice, social area to walk through. - Slightly Perfect
Tons of history here. The house looks amazing and the grounds are so well kept. - Karen
